I would not buy her those. I'd tell her she may have them when she gets a job and purchases them herself. Until then, if she was wearing granny panties I would take her to Victorias Secret PINK store and get her cute boyshorts/hipsters. I'm 23 and I hardly wear thongs (they're not the healthiest for your vag ya know?). The boyshorts come in cute and funky laces/patterns. Wide selections too.
More importantly, why does she want them? Sounds like its for the wrong reasons. I would have a talk with her that hopefully ends in a trip to the above mentioned and everyone is happy.

Mega con, there was just one in april. We are in the same state and I know there's another one here in a few months( she just went to one in lakeland) we should go and meet up sometime because she would never let me just hang inside there. Ha ha. She want's me to take her to one in Baltimore, I was there working during that one 4 years ago before she got into it and there were hundreds of kids running around downtown when I was going in to work dressed in costume.

If you do get her thongs try to get the one with the thinner strings. The ones that are thicker and more conservative just feel like a constant wedgie, and having to adjust your panties constantly is not great on the 12 year old ego.
I second VS Pink line. I abhor it, but that's because I'm not 12. If I was 12 I would think it's adorable.![]()

I bought some thongs when I was like 12-13, and I think I got to keep them for a few months until my mom saw them a few too many times in the laundry and then they mysteriously got eaten by the dryer
But then again, I never had any peer pressure. I think I was actually the first one wearing thongs because I remember it being a big deal at a school dance that the boys could see that I had two butt cheeks outline through my dress rather than having that little curve hidden by the panties. I bought mine because it was so taboo, and thrilling, and mine in a personal way because I bought them even though I knew it would be frowned on by my mom. So on the one hand, it's great that she's talking to you about them, but on the other hand, I almost wonder if that's a bad thing because it means it's normal for twelve year olds to have thongs....which strikes me as wrong...
I agree with the boyshorts or hipsters which do the same thing. I would tell her if she wants to buy them with her money, she can earn them. But tell her you'd rather her wait and tell her why-- I assume you've had the sex talk, but have you also talked about peer pressure, and how that relates to sex? It's so silly, but boys like whatever for the most part-- it's the other girls one has to worry about. Also, I would get into the biology of yeast infections and bacterial vaginitis and thongs, so maybe she'll be grossed out-- but if she does buy them, she'll get them in cotton, and be supremely anal about wearing them for short periods of time.

Also, now offering phone sexins!

LoL I know what the patch looks like, I had to wear it...But thats what I mean, I never heard anyone refer to it as that.. I can totally see why it was nicknamed that though.
In all fairness, when I got there, I was pregnant with kiddo, lived off post, and was pretty anti-social even at work cause I had too much going on and my hands full. I just wanted to do my job and leave, didnt talk to anyone. Plus Im always the last to know everything lol
