I was on tumblr and stumbled upon this. It's refreshing to hear someone not in the business having the utmost respect and non-judgement for the ladies working in the business. Thought I'd share-
Fuck this, I'll become a stripper..No.
Seeing this quote pop up so frequently is starting to really annoy me, as it undermines the occupation and makes it appear as a fall back for any lazy bitch, rather than a choice of job.
While of course there are exceptions, the ones who have just fallen back into stripping for all the wrong reasons like supporting their drug habbits, etc. I really don’t think it’s a fair representation.
Exotic dancing, when done right is a beautiful thing! So so sooo much respect for these women!
especially when the girl’s combine outside skills like pole tricks, burlesque, it’s just the ultimate recipe for seduction!
there is absolutely nothing wrong with showing off your skills in a club with appropriate safety rules.
they’re providing us with a service that makes people’s fantasy’s come to life!
Some of the strip clubs i’ve been to are just..sensational, and i’d happily pitch a tent and move right on in!
suede booths, water fountains, double story stages, glowing red lights, beats any nightclub if you ask me!
and to top it off, you have amazing women walking around everywhere, what more could you want?! … maybe a bottomless wallet.
Some of the dancers i know, are the most intelligent, sophisticated and down right most amazing women i have ever shared a conversation with. Uni degree’s, company’s, and stripping on the side for some extra cash, shit why the fuck not.
This was a bit of a stream of consciousness jumble, but basically what i’m trying to say is i think it’s a beautiful job, and ladies, you have my uttermost respect !
I wish i had the confidence to join you on stage!! haha
