I just picked up some African Black Soap shampoo/body wash that had all natural ingredients (it might have like one unnatural one, but not an SLS) from Sprouts.
Look for a shampoo without parabens (cancer causing I think) and Sodium Lauryl Sulfates (which makes it break.) You can go the natural route and mix borax with water
and massage it into your hair and then rinse out and use a quality conditioner.
As far as dry shampoos-- I wrote a review for an at-home one compared to one I bought at a store. Let me see if I can find it.

You can search "dry shampoo" and a few things come up on SW that you might find applicable.

If you have Batiste where you are I would fully recommend it... Been around for years, may not be the most chemically free version of the stuff but it really works and it's a reasonable price. I just googled it and it's a British brand but looks like its available on Amazon. My mum laughed when she saw it in my bathroom because she hadn't seen it since she was young.

Plus they now do it in different 'colours' so you don't get ridiculous grey roots. They have nice smelling versions of it now, which is always nice!
I have the Batiste for blonde hair, which I've only been able to find online. Love it! I sold the original line where I worked at Sallys, it's a top seller. Don't waste your money on more expensive ones, they don't work any better...I've tried them!

^I'm sure it works and I'm not slamming you guys using it, but personally-- those ingredients scare me!
Ingredients
Butane, Isobutane, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Propane, Alcohol Denat, Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, Benzyl Benzoate, Distearyldimonium Chloride.,
Doesn't that shit dry out your hair?

If you were to apply it anywhere past your roots - oh hell yeah! But that's why it works so great in the oily areas, lol. They say to brush it through, but since I don't want it distributed down any further I just kinda tousle it around with my fingers.
The UK is quite naive to chemicals. We don't talk about or check what's in our cosmetics at all. Plus as a smoker, drinker, drug user and tanner, I guess my days are somewhat numbered anyway, so I may as well lather up head to toe in parabens. One day I'll grow up a bit, quit my bad habits and no doubt stop using shit like Batiste!
Batiste has never dryed my hair... But then I only use it because I have the world's oiliest roots, so if you're not a Ms. Greaseball like me it might be a bit more of a problem.

THE ONLY DRY SHAMPOO I'LL EVER USE AND RECOMMEND IS VICTORIA'S SECRET SO SEXY DRY SHAMPOO.
Head and Shoulder's shampoo works. Also, oiling your hair with coconut oil and giving yourself head massages reduces the amount of sebum production due to the stimulation of the hair follicles. Do it at least twice a week before washing your hair.

Ones you start washing your hair less, and using an oil after a shower on your scralp and hair, the oily roots will dissappear slowly. Ive dealt with oily hair a lot! Ones I started washing less, and using oil, my scalp starting producing less oil and I stopped using harsh chemical on my head, the harshier they are the more oil your scalp will produce. It took about a month to improve the change.

Both Dove and Suave make dry shampoo for under $4 a can and it works just as good as the expensive Rene Furterer that used to only last 4 sprays. The Dove one has kind of an overpowering smell though.
