Oz? Like, with Dorothy? lol
I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do webcamming from where ever you are at. Your location doesn't really matter, just as long as you have an internet connection that will support it.

This is actually a really interesting question. I'm in Canada on a visitor's visa (while in the process of establishing citizenship) and I still cam. I think it's legal most anywhere because your work records are from your home country and once you become a citizen then the records can be changed.
I know that you can't work in a country if you have a tourist visa, but I don't think it applies to online jobs too where you are not employed by a local from that country.
otherwise how would business man run their business online while on holiday ?

Yes, you can.
Vacations, obviously you can work because you are not resident, and you are continuing online work that is being taxed and claimed in your country of residence.
If you are living in another country, (as in, you are legally resident, which you will be in AUS) then you need a work permit or citizenship to be able to work ANY job. Your ability to work on cam depends on the limitations of your visa. So, if you have a visa that only allows seasonal work, that would be a no. If you have a visa that you got through being sponsored by a company, that would be a no.
As far as I am aware, working holiday visas put no restrictions on the type of work that you do, only on the amount of time that you can be working while there (1 year of the 2 years of the visa, or more if you go WOOFing to extend it), so you would be fine to cam. I do know many women who have stripped on a working holiday visa, so I can't imagine camming would be any different.
As always, you do need to declare your earnings and pay taxes (although you can claim some of that back when you leave).
Have fun!!!
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

since the UK, Canada, Australia, NZ etc. have all signed a 'commonwealth' treaty with each other, camming in one commonwealth country is no problem as long as your are a citizen of a commonwealth country ( doesn't have to be the same commonwealth country ). Technically speaking, you don't even need a holiday work visa, since legally speaking you'd still considered to be working from your 'home' country if your webcam account and webcam earnings payment method is still registered to an address in your 'home' country. A bigger problem will be transferring the money you have earned ( with easy option being a dedicated MasterCard debit card that can be used in any country ). Tax issues would also remain exclusively with your 'home' country as long as your official residence, your webcam account, and webcam earnings payment account still show your 'home' country address.
However, if you apply for legal permanent resident status in another commonwealth country, at that point your webcam account info would have to be changed ( or a new account created ), your webcam earnings payment registration should be changed ( to a new account in that other commonwealth country ), and your tax liability will shift from your 'home' country to the other commonwealth country. Fortunately, none of the commonwealth countries attempt to tax the earnings of citizens who aren't actually living within their 'home' country the way the USA does.

i wonder this myself- i am from the usa and have been living in the uk for 2 years now, about to apply for citizenship. i have not paid taxes in the 2years that i have been away and camming. will the IRS catch onto me/will i get in troble for this? i've been a bit worried about this lately.

This is a distinct possibility !!! Unlikely though if your webcam host account is registered to a non-US address, and your webcam earnings payments are transferred to a non-US bank.i have not paid taxes in the 2years that i have been away and camming. will the IRS catch onto me/will i get in troble for this? i've been a bit worried about this lately
Also, if you were outside the USA for 330 days during each of the past two years, you're entitled to a 'foreign income exclusion' from US income taxes ... which if you earned less than $100,000 would mean that you don't actually owe the US IRS any income tax. However, the UK inland revenue could make a legitimate claim that you owe THEM income taxes since you have been a legal resident of the UK for the past 2 years. However, if you have been living in the UK without permanent legal resident status, then the US IRS and UK inland revenue may BOTH want a 'piece' of your webcam earnings.
