Thumbs down cops harrasing me and my customer at work

i need some advice ladies. I work in an area kinda notorious for dirty cops ( i suppose they are everywhere) and there are 3 cops in particular who frequent my club off duty and they are close to the management. rumor has it they sell drugs to some of the girls too. The 3 are 2 brothers (black guys) and one of the cops partners (white guy). one of the brothers asks me to date him, meet him outside the club, etc and in "exchange" for this he is offering me "police protection", jewelry, and putting in a good word to my manager. at first i was like no thanks but i took his number (thinking i could use him to clear tickets but realized that would be a bad idea). i would be friendly with him whenever he came in because, well he's a cop and i figured better to stay on his good side.

I've developed a regular at this club who comes in 2-3 a week, usually on a slow night and buys at least 12 dances from me a night, tips very well, buys several drinks from the bar and tips the other girls on stage, basically a good customer. so when its slow i will sit and talk with him for awhile. 2 nights ago i was sitting with him when the cops walked in (plain clothes, the white cop went straight to the managers and hung out with them behind where we were sitting). i was sitting for awhile kind of ignoring the cops but they kept looking over so i told my reg i would be right back, said hi to the cops and i was literally gone for like 30 sec and went to sit back down with my reg. so last night my reg comes back and tells me that white cop came up to him while i was saying hi to other cops and told him: " Eva only fucks with black guys. She's just playing you and i would watch out for her"

i was really shocked they would go this far to actually fuck with my money. my reg was cool after i explained the situation but is a little nervous now because he doesn't want the cops to start fucking with him.

management is afraid of /tight with these cops and won't do anything if i let them know what is going on. i'm afraid they will do something worse if i don't agree to date the cop. i just don't trust them at all and i regret even talking to them (the first time i approached them as customers bc i didn't know they were cops). anyone of you been in a similar situation? should i switch clubs, ignore them, or am i overreacting? thanks!

I'm sorry this is affecting you so. But don't you dare date that man thinking it will get him off your back! It will only make it worse and he will think he owns you even more than he does now. Secondly I assume your not doing anything that is illegal so in that case I would treat them like regular people. They are not on duty and even if they were cops can only harass you so much. Tell him you are not interested and this is your place of employment and you don't come here to socialize. I would also tell management even though they are cops it is still a privately owned club and once again the men are not on duty. Also wtf are they telling people you only like black guys, uhhh wtf they don't even know you, sorry that part bugged me lol.

^^^ IMHO there's no 'good' resolution available for this particular situation. At one extreme, you may wind up being busted if you don't 'go along with the game plan'. At the other extreme, you may wind up being 'pimped out' if you do 'go along with the game plan'. And the best case scenario will probably be 'walking a tightrope' while earning significantly less money. Switching clubs in the same city probably won't help, because it will be the same police jurisdiction. Is there a possibility of dancing in a different nearby city ?

^^^ yup, I second what Melonie said...Id find a club completely out of the jurisdiction of those cops just to avoid other issues...

It's really too bad you can't just sue the entire police station. It would probably be more time and effort and money than worth it at ALL. But I really want these guys to get what's coming to them.
I second trying to dance to a near by city, and maybe try camming and such to supplement your income in the mean time.

^This is what I would suggest also. You could try another club in the area, but like Melonie and Shadow 35 have said-it would be in the same police jurisdiction. So, there is a very strong possibility that you would run into them at another club anway (the other clubs in the area are probably on their "pay roll", so to speak, as well).

I'm sorry that you are going through this and that it is hurting your income. These individuals have NO right to harass you at your place of work and to bully you like this! It's a gross abuse of power .

OMG this makes me sick and my jaw drop wide open! I seriously would love to find them and have their asses kicked or somehow getting them fired. I hate dirty cops!!! This situation sounds very dangerous and if it were me, I'd try dancing maybe an hour away or something. Because there's no winning solution for you, management is with them and the cops are dirty. Damned if you, damned if don't kinda thing. If you do decide to leave, you could maybe send the DA or head of police an anonymous letter about what they're doing.

Run awayyyy. Seriously, if you get mixed up in this stuff you are messing with things that will stay on your record for ever and will reflect poorly on you if and when you need a background check for a future job.

Some cities have multiple districts, though. I know in Chicago we have a bunch of different districts where cops really can't do or leave their particular beat. Perhaps she could switch over to a different area of the city that's in a completely different district. Maybe only tell your regulars were your going -that way the cops or management or anyone else doesn't know where you went or thinks that maybe you just quit?? That could work possibly.
