Default SHADY! Stay away from Bitcoins!

Poor customer service/rep. as shown by "Sarah" in the other thread. Extremely unprofessional. Dodging questions for 8 pages. Complaining. Not staying on topic. Being catty "I'm going to stay here just to piss you off!" (In response to another member) Fly-by-night (literally unknown) site. Nobody reputable to back it up.

Do you really want people like that handling your money? I'd hope not.

And for as dodgy as "Sarah" is about answering questions - it's just a big red flag of a site.

To add to the fact that it is an 'online currency' called Bitcoins and not USD$ you are dealing with. Most men paying for adult are iffy about whipping out the CC as it is. Dealing with a completely different payment method has a higher % of turning potentional buyers off and away to girls with easier methods of payment.

For safer alternative e-wallets or methods of getting Indy/Independent Payment Processors that are all adult friendly/no-chargeback:

Niteflirt.com - You keep 70% of what you earn.
    GreenDot Moneypaks
e-giftcards (Amazon.com being the most popular)

The worth of a coin can be changed by a little hacking? Hm, no, no thank you.

Reading the other train wreck of a thread, you'd think the OP was intent on sabotaging bitcoin rather than promoting it

I have reliable payment processing. I found a system that works for me so I'm not looking for any new options, but bitcoin wouldn't pass my 'requirements' list even if I was. I wish people who came here to promote their products would take the time to actually learn a bit about their target audience before making their pitches.
Here's where bitcoin falls flat for me:

    1) Time is $$$$. With my customers, I'd rather talk about fun stuff or what we want to do on cam (ya know, ish they'll actually enjoy) than explain HOW to use a system that isn't based in USD. Like any chica who's been in the business for a while, I have hundreds of customers. If I had to explain a fairly arcane system to even half of them I'd waste a significant amount of time, particularly considering that, as Hayden stated, most of my guys would be rightfully wary of using a non-mainstream payment option. If I was a customer I certainly would be reticent to use it.

    2) We're not dabbling in business here for pocket change. This is our work and we take it seriously. People who get cagey when asked critical questions about their product raise a HUGE red flag for me, in that they clearly do not take camming or cammers seriously. This isn't about risking a few $$$ here and there, cammers deal with $1000's every month. Discussing terms and potential risks is pretty basic ish, and someone who isn't prepared to explain the details of their product as it relates to OUR work doesn't inspire confidence in the product or the person pitching it. Who, what, where, when, how, why; pretty basic ish that we all learn in grade school.

    3) Cost of the product. Yes, bitcoin apparently charges no service fee, but the 'currency' fluctuates, with no regulation regarding how the value moves against USD. When that value decreases (and if it's not artifically manipulated or a ponzi scheme, all that goes up does come down) THAT is the cost of the service. Again, this is my job, I need to know how much $$$$ I can expect to see out of any $$$$ I charge my customers. While I'm accustomed to currency fluctuations (I use CAD although I receive my camming earnings in USD) I have an option of placing USD funds into a USD savings account when the Canadian dollar is high, wherein the funds earn interest and are insured by government regulation. In that light, while I consider the potential 'rewards' of bitcoin to be high, the risks involved are high as well.

    4) The hidden pitch. If someone is seeking to find cammers for their site, be real about it. The chicas here at sw are incredibly diligent when analyzing a new product/site etc, but some businesses here have become respected members of the community (Benic, PJ and Nissim immediately spring to mind). Each one of them is incredibly open regarding who they are, their role in the company, and how their product can be beneficial to us. In attaching the bitcoin spiel to a hidden pitch to join a chaturbate-esque (shudder) site, the bitcoin rep lost all credibility.

For all the above reasons, bitcoin and it's representative here get a fail.

also xxxcambabes, realgirlsoncam, camwealth, and even walmart has e cards. Someone coming up with a "new" currency isn't doing it out the kindness of their heart. I even saw tv drama episode about this online currency phenomenon. It dealt with the fact that it is ILLEGAL to make a new currency and a whole bunch of shit like that. How do people even fall for this crap?
    Yes, I'm real.

I just finished reading the 17 pages on the other posting and wow, that was quite the ride. At first when I saw the insults going back and forth I admit I thought "here we go again" then when "Sara(h)" however they want to spell it start threatening legal action I found it comical.
When the threats and attempted intimidation came in though it really showed how shady that company's representatives are. I'm thankful to everyone who exposed it for what it is...I'm sure it's saved some women alot of headache by not getting involved with them

OMG I know right. I am addicted to that show. Since growing up I wanted to either be a contract lawyer or a hooker... LOL Watching it makes me feel like I got both bases covered.

Both accounts were run by the same person so I banned them both. I locked all the bitcam threads while I was reading the other one and cleaning it up. I didn't make it past page 5 before I was mentally exhausted from all the bullshit. I hit SarahTime's post and was all, "Oh? Proof of multi-accounting and being shady/adversarial? Fuck wading through the rest of this. Ban him on the basic rules violation."

Left the original CC bitcam/bitcoin thread up to warn other folks who come searching for info but "Sarah" was logged into the other account and deleted all the other account's posts in the other account's bitcam/bitcoin threads in the meantime.

I still don't think I deserved an infraction Isobel. My intentions were good and obviously Sarah2012's were not.
    From Sarah2012:

"Quote by Kitten who started the name calling and insults:

"I wouldn't trust a payment processor that is not regulated and owned by nobody. That shit can be ran out of Stinky Bob's mother's basement and then just disappear one day with everyone's hard earned money and nobody would have to account for it. You're just dense as all hell."

Soon thereafter after answering her questions she calls me a scammer with no evidence...."

Piss poor attempt at taddle telling.

You should take this issue to PM. I want to also say in Isobel's defense, she is a very fair mod. That thread went on for almost 17 pages. The arguing and drama should've stopped looong before that. I've said many many times over that if you're having an issue, report it and don't respond to the baiting. It just gets you in trouble as well. Hopefully next time if there is an issue, people can just report the posts and not add to the drama. The ignore button can be your friend too.

Well you guys should have banned him before it reached 17 pages. I wasn't even around that long as it was like 13 pages when I logged out. He was being reported since page 1. Also, I did pm Isobel.

Oh dear. I guess that'll teach me to try to be nice to a newcomer who I thought was offering good info after a quick internet search before leaving for the rest of the weekend. Note to self: do LOTS of research before forming an opinion of something I'd never heard of. In honesty I hadn't even really formed a full opinion about bitcoins yet but I stupidly commented on it before researching further. Won't be doing that again. So for the record, I retract my "welcome to the community, this seems interesting, tell me more" attitude toward this "Sarah" person.

Glad this forum is filled with savvy ladies who are more skeptical than myself to weed out these shady deals. Hi5 ladies and I'm not even gonna try to read through all of that other thread so yeah... movin' on! lol

^^^honestly Tsani, I thought your posts in that thread were great. Not every new member of sw is a troll with ulterior motives, and I'd hate for anyone to think that the behaviour of one nasty individual means that all newcomers should be treated with hostility. I would hope that, despite what went down, every person who comes here is seen as an individual who should be judged on their own merits and posts. I thought your comments and questions were as important as everyone else's (particularly in post #7). It was the fact that sara(h)/Terry couldn't answer them that was the problem.

I was actually interested in the explanation of how a site would work like that. I felt it was a cool concept and I'm all for finding new ways to make an income that is an exchange from one party to the other without the government controlling it's value. But looks like I missed the ride . Wow 383 post and that mostly all took 1 day. I did check out that camsite but I have to admit it was poorly done. Being recorded wasn't my worry because that happens on all sites. I think my main concern was how do you transfer funds to real currency. Now i don't think bitcoins is a scam per se. I think that because the government can't really really control it then they don't want people using it. There have been hacking reports as well, but that's generally someone giving out information to the wrong party. I wouldn't be surprised if the government initiated some type of hacking because supposedly the value is stronger than the dollar right now.

Also that girlsgonecam or whatever the name is , I recall that guy posting a while back with some site made off of wix which seemed too cheap to be taken seriously. Perhaps it's the same guy that is now looking to recruit but from what I've read he was the same guy that was doing a hourly pay for cam girls in the past and was having issues with paying them. At some point he went from $20 and hour down to $9 an hour and then he stopped paying all together. Those sites crashed and burned and he created a few more doing the same thing. So the idea is interesting but I think the person is trying to cut corners as shown in the past at doing these sites the right way. It could very well be a new person but I recall that name coming up in the past. There are girls that sell pictures and other items for bitcoins so it's not highly unusual , I just feel that it would take some time learning safety measures to ensure your money doesn't accidentally get stolen.

For now business as usual until someone can do this the right way. I would so love to try this out but again haven't seen a camsite that can do this effectively. Plus on one of the sites he provided , it allowed you to create a wallet there. To me that would be a no no because that site could possibly have access to your entire bitcoins account. It would make sense to download from the main company and keep track of your own wallet. Again those are just my thoughts. There are many forums out there that discuss bitcoins and people are using them. If it was a complete scam it would just die off. Now the guy on the site could be scamming. Getting girls to set up bitcoin wallets on his site and then after they've worked , withdrawl all the money from those accounts leaving them high and dry.

My only other concern would be to cash out immediately because you don't know when the tide of it's value will change. Wikipedia's info is seriously too technical for most, including myself to grasp but I've done some research and it seems interesting.

Paypal was great but of course the goverment got involved, imposed limits on withdrawls and required a ssn for an account and of course refused adult transactions. I'm just mad I wasn't old enough to cam when paypal didn't have such issues. Now anyone asking for paypal makes you want to shoot them in their face.

Even stripping was something you didn't really have to pay taxes on. You could work collect your money and leave. Some clubs still run this way but others want an SSN so you can share the tax burden with them. I never really understood the concept of being taxed on taking your clothes off and dancing around a guy but the government is looking to make money off of anyone making it.
