Dizzy Working the day shift, when my bodies on a night shift schedule.

At my club, I am required to work one day shift a week. Seems easy at first, but when You're working 3-4 nights a week until 4 am, you're body doesn't really agree with it. I'm not going to sleep anymore until around 5 am. I just can't sleep, even on my nights off. So when my day shift rolls around (mondays) I am EXHAUSTED. I go from a 7-4 shift, to a 11-7 shift. It's killing me, and I don't know how these girls do it. I literally fall asleep at work for like 20 minutes due to extreme physical exhaustion.

do you go through this, too? How do you trick your body to fall asleep earlier, or to deal with it?

Try to wake up a few hours early, eat a good breakfast full of fruits and veggies, do a little yoga, and listen to upbeat music, and drink red bull.
Or just take aderall. Not healthy but once a week won't kill you, as long as you only do it once a week. (but if you have slow day shifts it might suck being THAT amped. :/ )

You have some nights off during the week, right? Just schedule yourself so that you don't work the night before your day shift, so that way you won't be so tired.

FWIW, I'd also recommend picking a busier day shift (usually Thursday/Friday, though that varies by club sometimes) and pulling a double so you work at night too. That way you're missing out on less night shifts, and your time in the club during the day is more lucrative. Plus you'll be well-rested anyway after a day off! If you take lots of little breaks during a double, like when there's lulls in customer attendance, your energy levels should be high enough to get through the shift.

This may sound weird but Viagra can help you adjust to waking up at different times. Just google jet lag and Viagra then valah!! It won't make you any hornier which could be an upside for our line of work. I drink NOS ^ its sometimes hard to find, but I think it tastes better than Redbull & gives you more energy.

This has worked for me, back when I experimented with polyphasic sleep:

Don't eat before you go to sleep. Eat light during the day and stop early. Try something like 6 hrs min. But eat immediately when you wake up. This helps re-set your internal alarm. This works great when traveling to minimize jet lag.

Maybe you could try taking melatonin to re adjust your circadian cycle
To help you sleep better and get to sleep faster on nights that you work back to back shifts.
