Default Deja Vu - City of Industry, CA

I know all city of industry clubs are said to be high contact but every time I check the new reviews for clubs it gets good ratings. This has led me to believe they get decent business there & there is a no drink hassle (supposedly) which is also a plus. Anyways, I recently spoke to a manger over the phone about an audition. He said there's two ways it can go. I can either:

    1) get hired on the spot without an audition ( I'm guessing this is based completely off looks)

    or
    2) need to audition

I am a decently looking girl & I'm hoping to get hired on the spot. Anyone have any tips on how to do this as far as clothing goes? Should I wear street clothes or dance clothes when meeting the manager? I know having my make up & hair done is a must. Just wondering about what to wear.

Also, he said that an ID and Social Security card are needed. This made me a little uneasy. Would anyone happen to know why a strip club would need your social? I know all clubs don't do this.

If anyone has any tips to share or experience with this club it would be greatly appreciated.

have you thought about trying spearmint rhino, too? i haven't danced in coi in years but when i did it was really busy. i went into deja vu once and it was dead. however, this was a long time ago.

i will say it is very hard (but def not impossible) to make good money in coi as a clean dancer. i did it but i was CONSTANTLY fighting off guys. i was by no means an "air dancer" but i wasn't doing any extras. good luck. i am exhausted just thinking about it!

    Thanks for the feedback LAChloe!

So it's really true that ALL City of Industry clubs have "Extra" services? I'm def not into that.
I also called Spearmint Rhino COI as well and they said to come down & ask to audition.
It doesn't seem like Deja Vu is dead just based off reviews. However, I will go and check it out myself.

If there's any other LA/ Orange County clubs you could recommend that would be great.

Wow DesuvsDeath that sounds like a real bad experience. I take it you turned down working at that club. How long ago was this?

That was extremely detailed and helpful. Thank you so much Teaze. Are you working at this Deja Vu currently? (feel free to PM me if needed). Imperial Showgirls was actually one of my first choices but from what I hear there are hardly any black dancers :-/ I was a little skeptical about Deja Vu because I've heard it is one of those clubs that takes a large chunk of your earnings. Would you happen to know if all california clubs collect information for tax purposes? I take it club ecstasy you're talking about is in santa ana? I will check both those clubs out as well. I was trying to avoid rejection but I'll never know unless I try. Plus I'd rather dance in Orange County than City of Industry anyways lol.

I can't believe Deja Vu takes so much. $10 for a topless??! Damn! I work in a bikini bar in Van Nuys. Dances are $10, in a bikini and you keep all of it! We don't have a VIP, though. But it's just a $30 fee to work. (House, DJ, Security). Mostly Latina & Black dancers with a sprinkling of Asians and very few white dancers (me being one of them). Curvy girls do better here than thin girls. Management and staff are great and not greedy. Some customers can be cheap and grabby, but I have meant some of my longest lasting and generous regulars here. It's easy to make $300 without having to do nude or topless dances. But, this isn't a $1K a night place either.

Dorien, I was thinking the same thing. Deja Vu takes way too much money. I'm not interested in working in that club anymore. I know I can get a better deal than that. Where is this bikini bar? Feel free to PM me. Thanks.

DesuvsDeath, I did think about that. I figured it must have been a chain thing because there is no way that majority of clubs in California are taking THAT much money. Like you stated the girls do work hard for their money and to give ALMOST HALF of it away is ridicules. I know I can find a club thats better than that. I will continue my search for the right one.
