They want to entice you to buy more dances.

Bem, I think that it happens more frequently than you might believe. I've experienced it several times in the last couple of years, often in decent to upscale clubs. These clubs were also spread out in different geographic locations, which eliminates the theory that this is just a regional quirk.

I often get the female version of it, so that ought to give you an idea how common a sales tactic it really is.
And agreed - it is quite a lazy (although sometimes effective) way to try and keep the $$$ rolling in.

I thought that was the strip club version of the handshake.

Likewise, I guess I'm referring to a different era as well. None of the girls I ever bought a dance from pulled this on me and I doubt the girls i danced with ever pulled this on others. Like I said though, I never really bounced from club to club and now I rarely bother stopping in at all.

Exotic dancing is like any other job.If you work in an office, you wear dress shoes and a suit.If you work in a restaraunt, you wear skid resistant shoes and a uniform. If you work in a strip club, you wear 7" stilettos and lycra g-strings.

I know they probably felt the erection with the grinding and all.. but almost all of them never come up to ask me for another dance, so why the extra touch? Bwa ha ha ha

This happened to me once, sort of. I was sitting stage side when a stripper who I’d never seen before sat down next to me. As she made small talk to me she put her hand on my thigh and slowly moved it inward and upward. She never actually grabbed my stuff, just kind of brushed her hand over it. By the time she did this I had completely lost interest in the girl on stage and was directing all of my attention to the girl sitting next to me. I probably would have directed my attention to her anyhow without her touching me as I was starting to like her. As the set came to a close she jumped up and was the next girl on stage. As she proceeded through her set she seemed to be directing her moves toward me.
Later on, when we were sitting off to the side talking, I asked her if she puts her hand between every guy’s legs. She told me that I was the only one she had done that to. She said something about picking a guy each night at the club and playing to that guy – something about making her job more enjoyable. Apparently that night I was the guy she decided to play to. She went on to explain that she wanted me to watch her dance and she figured if she got me excited that I’d be too modest to get up and walk away, thus stay and watch her dance.
She never asked me for a private dance or anything else. I only saw her a couple of times after that and she was always extra friendly to me and never again put her hand between my legs. Years later I ran into her while shopping at a store. She was just as friendly as ever.

Interesting. In just about every club I go to a dancer approaching the stage to sit with a customer is either frowned upon or completely against the rules. Did you guys get any dirty looks from the dancer on stage that you were ignoring? Oh, sorry. You wouldn't have noticed since you had completely lost interest in the girl who's stage you were sitting at. Did you at least tip the girl on stage?
It's really fascinating to me that, in all my years of clubbing, I never seem to meet any of these magical girls who don't want money and seem to show up at the club solely for the purpose of being naked in a room full of strange men...you know, just for fun!
I do not want a dancer to grab my crotch. I don't touch hers, she doesn't touch mine. If one tried it, I would be so disturbed I would probably leave the club and never go there again.
I am guilty of doing this, the sitting with a customer at the stage scenario. Purely when every other customer in the room is being spoken to by another dancer. But I always, always, encourage the customer to tip the dancer on stage and make it fun by helping out (i.e. holding her g-string open for the bill, etc.) if you know she's okay with it, followed by explaining how we all bust are asses off on stage for even $1 and thank him for helping her out.
I don't mind the girls sitting with a customer at the stage during my set, as long as they're tipping. I have issues when the dancers on the floor (whether it's at the stage, couches, stools- whatever!) are ass jiggling blocking the customer's view from the stage - those are the ones that are frowned upon at my club. And God forbid they're giving a LD on the floor for a tip instead of the VIP area. There IS such thing as stripper etiquette/class.

This thread is getting a little too personal and there is WAY too much penis talk going on as far as I'm concerned. Please stick to the topic and avoid personal attacks.

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.
