Duh How to deal with newbies who don't know what the f*ck they're doing

I'm not trying to be mean in any way... I'm no pro myself. I danced for a few months 2 years ago and just returned 3 months ago to my current club. Let me say, though, that before I came back I read stripperweb in and out. I've also held regular sales jobs, I'm motivated, and I'd consider myself intelligent. About a month into dancing the first time I had become a stripandgrow rich member as well. I am still getting a hang of what to do, but for being in the industry for a total of under 6 months, I think I'm doing pretty damn well. That being said... my club keeps hiring new girls left and right. I guess we're always short on girls during the weekdays and day shifts... most like to work weekends. I prefer working weekday nights because even though there are less customers, you'll get a few who'll spend lots more money. I'd prefer that over hustling 1-2 lap dances all night on a fri-sat. Anyway....... I feel like my club is kind of lowering their standards as far as the girls they hire. My club has a reputation for beautiful, smart, classy type women.... some of these bitches are downright clueless. I'll be sitting there talking to a customer and one will just plop down next to us and be like "hey how's it going?" Needless to say the customer wasn't thrilled. Some of the regulars have gotten used to girls, especially new ones, sitting with them for hours without getting any dances or tipped. I don't even talk to these guys anymore because there's no way in hell i'm going to sit and bullshit with them for 2 hours with the possibility of maybe getting a dance. I got shit to do! How are the rest of us who have bills to pay and don't live with our boyfriend or mommy and daddy supposed to make money? Don't get me wrong... I love my club, but really? Luckily most of these girls work during the day and slow nights.... I seriously think my club should have some sales and customer service training. Anyone else had this issue?

A better title is: "How to deal with a club that is desperate for money".

It's symptomatic of a club that is grasping at straws. They are hiring (over hiring?), slacking on standards, and not educating the dancers effectively. There is no protocol (or at least the new girls were not made aware of any protocol). That is the clubs fault. They are clearly staffing for slow shifts so customers "feel" there is an adequate selection of strippers. Since their shifts are slow, and most of the established dancers don't want to work those slow shifts, the girls compete for what little money there is. They will sit with a guy for hours, they will hustle more aggressively (plop down at a table, uninvited), etc.

It is on the club to maintain some level of order.... but if customers are paying admission and buying drinks, getting hours of free chat-time with noob strippers, the club makes money and customers are happy. More strippers = more house fees. More strippers = more options for customers/repeat business since the customers get a sweet deal wasting strippers' time.

It's an act of desperation as I have mentioned. And it happens all the time. Rather than worry about other dancers, start researching different clubs. Once this shit starts happening, it is incredibly difficult to reverse.

Also, total tangent but I like working weeknights too.

I wouldn't say my club is desperate for money. Our house fees and cuts from dances are really low.... they most of the money through alcohol, food, and cigar sales. The most i ever have to tip out is $40...and that is on thur-sat on a 7-2 shift. I think a lot of girls just don't like working days and sun-wed nights when it's slower. I personally like those nights... though they can be hit or miss, so can the weekends. Days can suck it though. They're so slow and you have to go on stage a million times. And you have to work a while and have regulars before you can make any good money. I come in and work 4-12 a lot and the dayshift girls are kinda bitchy to me. To them $200 is a good day. I'm like hell noooooo. Though i do know some girls make bank on dayshift, they have a lot of regulars that come in. I just am not a fan of the dayshift girls honestly. They're really lazy and whiny.... idk why.

Honestly, this is the only nice club within miles... i love the staff and the girls that work here. Management is really receptive to our needs and ideas too. Like...they're super awesome. The one manager is pretty cool with me too. I'm thinking about saying something. Honestly, though, it isn't a really big deal. We get a lot of guys coming in that travel for business and I make most of my big money off of them. I don't have to sit with them forever and i can hustle them into vip...and they're non the wiser that there's a newb that'll sit with them for an hour for free. :-p

The stripping world would be a wonderful place indeed if every girl came in having knowledge of SW, stripandgrowrich, and previous sales experience... unfortunately, that's just not the case. These girls are annoying, yes, but you have to realize they are not coming from the same place as you. Nobody has taught them shit. If a girl sits down uninvited, let her know that you and your customer were in the middle of a private conversation. Don't encourage the regulars who think it's ok to waste your time. I think the best thing you can do it just keep doing your hustle, and hope that the girls who can't make money either keep dropping out of the game, or that some girls will notice how much more money you make than them and emulate your style. I didn't discover SW until a couple weeks into stripping. I, too, used to waste too much time with customers. But then I started noticing that the top earners did not. This may seem "duh" to anyone on here, or anyone who's danced more than a few months, but a good majority of strippers aren't on here and have to go through the revelation process themselves. Other girls are just too stupid to learn no matter how much time passes and will eventually quit after owing house too many times... to be replaced by other new, stupid girls who will also quit within a few months... nature of the business. There's not much more you can do except find a better club with higher standards that only hires experienced hustlers.

Yea... I guess I'll have to deal with it. I just think it's funny that girls give me dirty looks after they've been sitting with a customer and getting nothing...not even asking for a dance. I sit down with them and take them back for some dances. Bitch, don't hate the player. Hate the game.

Just ignore them and focus on you. Natural selection will weed out the ones not meant for this job. Trust me it is survival of the fittest.

As to the ones that plop down unsolicited, the last time one did that I was very sweet. "How fortunate! We were just talking about some medieval torture instruments! Would you like to join our Wednesday night re-enactment group?" Said n00b ran away scared shitless. That was on my sweet days.

If I'm in a bitchy mood I just straight up snarl "Fuck off".
"Fake tits are like Kevlar. They don't guarantee your chances of survival but they sure as hell improve it."

Pulling girls aside wouldn't really work. A lot of times a couple girls will sit with a customer especially if he's a regular buying them drinks and it's slow. The vibe at my club is not very cut throat or catty like it can be at other clubs. Sometimes it's a little too laid back. It's definitely a good place to start out at. I believe i did mention that I'm not a pro myself... but i do have enough knowledge that sitting with a guy for more than 15 minutes without making any sort of money or a sale is getting me nowhere. Even if it's slow, I prefer to go sit in the back and read for a bit, smoke a cigarette, text my friends, or practice pole work on the side stage. I just wait until some guy i've never seen before walks in and sell to him while all the other girls are gathered around the regulars drinking making no money. :-p

I think clubs have kind of a momentum/culture that gets going & is hard to stop. I worked at a club where allll the girls, allll of them, even the most beautiful ones, would sit forever with guys just for drinks, it was infuriating. They would basically have to fall backwards into money. I was really swimming against the tide there by asking for dances. Not talking "wannadance??" either, I mean, sitting down, chatting, etc, then popping the question, was a waste of 15 minutes. Do that 4 times and I'd wasted an hour. The club just had a rep as a place guys could chill. Sucked.
The club I'm at now girls won't sit more than 5 minutes, some not at all. Guys who want to eat up time find another club.
I guess my point is... there's only so much one dancer can do about it. Just keep doing your best.

Sorry to butt in on the thread but where do you work at missychrissy and is it a good club for a newbie?
