    Default Curvy girl considering dancing?

Hi, girls! I've never posted in the stripping section as I've been a camgirl for a while now so the camming section is where I've been hanging out but lately Im getting sick of camming and staying home 24/7. I was looking for a serving job when I saw that a local club was looking for dancers.
Since I'm not stranger to getting naked for strangers, I wouldn't mind stripping and I hear the money is usually pretty good. The thing is, I'm not super thin. I'm also not morbidly obese or anything either. I'm 5'6, about 160lbs, DD's, round booty, all that good stuff. I'm also not all lumpy or covered with cellulite or stretch marks either. I mean, I have a few stretch marks as most women do but theyre faded and I'm just trying to convey that I'm actually curvy and not just a big round lump of flesh or something. hah I'm also 21 and pretty cute.
My real question is, are there many curvier girls who strip? Do they make as much money? Do strip club owners usually tend to not want to hire curvier girls? I understand that all of this varies from club to club but since I've never been in the stripping industry before, I'm really just looking for a little insight!
    Thank you. =)

What area do you live in? It would probably make a difference. You have beautiful skin and I looooove your boobs.

I think you could do well. There's a girl at my club with the same body shape as yours, and she wears outfits that make her curves look good (not hide them, make them look good). Like, she wears those bottoms with the flowy stuff that hang down the sides, or bottoms with a cute bow on the back and stuff, and guys love it. She's one of the highest earners, actually. I think it would be all about how you do your hair and make-up, as weird as that might sound. If you go in without that stuff looking good, it might bring down your overall look because it would look like maybe you didn't make an effort because you don't have high expectations for yourself. But if you go in with perfect hair and make-up, awesome outfits and looking like you think you're the shit, guys are more likely to be like "damn, she looks good with those curves and she knows it, sexy biatch"... hope that makes sense!

yes, curvy girls can dance, i am one of them, and my height weight is pretty comparable, it looks like you have a similar shape too. I have found that dancing as a curvy girl, customers either love it, hate it, or they didn't have a preference on curvy vs skinny in the first place and your closing the sale depends on your conversation skills anyway. It gets pretty easy once you get going to pick out your target customers I have earned everything from 0-$800 a shift, I know other girls on this site have done the same so it is definitely possible to make $$$ (clean, no extras, don't do that). Not bad, not bad, imo.

You have a really soft, feminine burlesqu-y type look to you. Since you're already camming...why not give it a shot? You probably have outfits and stuff already, if you hate it, you never have to do it again!

It sounds llike you're pretty confident, thats good, you'll need it. That and some sass appeal for handling d-bags (which can range from customers to managers). The hardest part will not be making money, but getting hired, and tbh yes, you might have to apply at a few clubs before you get a job, but every club has potential I've had a lot of my higher earning nights in dinky little dive bars.

Watch out for girls that hate on you for dancing curvy. Picking on a girl because of her weight (because she's a rack of ribs or full of rolls) is one of the fastest ways to fuck with her head, and therefore her hustle, knocking her out of competition. Don't ever forget that most strippers itc are toxic bitches and won't hesitate to prey on your flaws to bring you down so they can do better.

I think you're on the very upper end of average. I wouldn't expect to get hired at a top tier club, but a mid-tier should be fine.

    Thank you girls so much!
I actually went to the club that was hiring to check it out and before I even mentioned anything, one girl told me she loved my boobs and I should work there. hah I ended up getting an application from the female manager who said that my size wasnt a problem and that she was a size bigger than me and danced.
I think I'm going to audition!

We have very similar body types, and believe me its hard to get hired at clubs who already have too many girls. I feel like I got comments every once and awhile from management telling me I was too "bottom heavy" and that I needed to lose my hips and ass asap even though I'm pretty petite. However, my hips are/were BONES and my ass wasn't going anywhere unless I lipoed it out- didn't make a difference how well I ate or how much I worked out. Upper tier clubs are not keen on hiring curvy (read: hourglass, bottom-heavy) women because they believe it attracts the type of clientele who don't spend or make the club seem ghetto. Its totally not really true, but that's how they think.

So if you have like no ass & chicken legs, it will be a lot easier for you to get hired where ever you want. If you have a big ass and thick thighs, it will be much much much harder (unless you go somewhere like Atlanta or Miami?). It very much depends on the city & state you're working in, as well as the tier of the club.

THIS. Do not ever take anything snarky that a girl says to you and think it's true. If you were really thin, they'd fuck with you for being anorexic, if you were in the middle they'd fuck with you for being too average. Bitchiness = jealousy, so if you encounter it just presume you're doing something right and keep going!

Depends on where u r dancing. Colorado is notorious for wanting super skinny girls. Wyoming and Montana and new Mexico are less picky.

I was thought of as thick or curvy, and I weighed between 130-140, d boobs, dress size 5-8, and am 5'4". I couldn't get hired at higher end clubs in Colorado, but in Wyoming and new Mexico could've been hired anywhere.

As a bigger girl you'll have to know how to hustle. HAVE TO. Unless you want to do extras.

As a side note, I would probably buy a ton of dances from you. I luv thicker curvier girls, especially with great tits an long dark hair. ;-)

Hunny there are clubs in Atl that will hire you. No your weight is not *ideal* but you can make $$$ dancing. Stripping is not the same as posing for Playboy.
Your look with your complexion/hair is nice. Overall your appearance will appeal to plenty of men which is what matters.
The whole thing with being "bottom heavy" seems to be regional, here it's become pretty highly coveted, not at every club, but at many.

It's been my observation that the thinner you are the more doors are open to you. You are not fat but if you wanted to work at a super nice club I would recommend losing a few llbs and toning up. I gained weight after my BA and I couldn't stand the way I looked. After hitting the gym 5x a week and changing my diet I actually like to look at myself.

IMO 160 is not an ideal weight for a stripper. It might pass in the "real" world but if you want to be a stripper you are going to be held to a higher standard.

If you really want to try a mid to lower tier club and wear stuff that flatters you until you lose what you want. However IMO the whole "you'll lose it while you dance" is false and misleading. You still need to do some kind of exercise to maintain and or lose weight. If I was solely dependent on that I would probably be looking at a little porker in the mirror today.

All I'm saying is that you are at a size where it's not unlikely that sooner or later some asshole customer or dancer will say some terribly rude shit to you... and you should be prepared for that. ...but I'd do you. <3

Well it is true that the more thinner you are the more doors that are opened for you. I hear that but some of you are just sounding like you're being rude at the same time about it. She said she's looking for a little insight not to be criticised and It's not like we are dealing with a girl that doesn't know she needs to loose a little bit of weight she said that already.

Pike, I think you have a nice shape but yes it will prevent you from getting hired at many upscale clubs. I am about your height and was slimmer while dancing and was rejected from the top clubs because they wanted much thinner. Also, realize that there will be men who will call you fat as well as women. However, when I ran an party agency I hired a few girls like you and they banked. In general many agencies are less strict on weight, have you considered those? If however your heart is set on a top tier club I would recommend toning the stomach area and you should be fine.

Corsets and waist cinchers will do wonders for you as well. When I was lil miss porker 2012 I wore one.

I'm in Ohio! Toledo, but I've known girls from Columbus and they certainly weren't super skinny. I've worked with lots of girls that were around your height/weight. And you've got big natural boobs, you'll be just fine. Someone might make a comment, but overall, the Midwest is pretty curve friendly.

It might had been true for you, but not for me. When I first started dancing, I was around 174 and lost around 15 pounds in about four months. Stayed without those pounds until I went back to hormonal birth control, gained around five and stayed the same during all my time dancing. I would lose a few more if I was working over five days a week, but I tried to not work more than three (I remember last summer I worked eight or nine days in a row, and I was so thin). Your metabolism might be slower too. Everyone is different, so the losing weight while dancing might be very true for some dancers (myself, and other girls I had known), and not true for others (like you, for example). Also, doing lots of pole work helps out a lot in the weight loss.

To the OP; I want to motorboat those titties of yours!

Congrats on your interview! I danced when I was a little thicker. You will be fine. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP NO MATTER WHAT!

Another thought is to try the day shift. I know that people rag on the day shift but I really loved it. Even when I was skinny. Especially if you have a personality. At night in a bigger club it's more fast-paced, how well you dance, how you look etc. During the day shift it's more about your personality (especially in a smaller town - in a big city clubs are sometimes packed in the daytime and this is not applicable). If you are engaging, you will not have a problem making money! I've seen pretty raggety girls making lots of money based on personality - surpising, but true. It's all about your hustle. You look beautiful! Kick some ass!
