Escorts: how do you handle calling a client back and someone else answers?

answering the lola_bunny's "First Call" thread got me thinking, how others handle calling a client back and someone else answers? i would call back if i missed his call and he a left message. i'm thinking if he left a message he has to be expecting a call back. but if someone else answers (a female), i ask for my friend zoey. i do have a friend named zoey so it's natural for me ask for her and not sound nervous. i've never had a confrontation with an SO, but i know it will happen someday.

I anyway hate being on the phone and reply to voicemail by email, unless they are a first time caller and I dont have any of their info, then I only call back if they specifically say when I can call them back. I do have it in my outgoing message that ill only return calls if they let me know when to reach them so without that info, I dont bother.

Ive taken my phone number off everything though, because I really dont want to deal with talking to someone until theyve been screened and we're setting up a date. My number is still up on some sites/escort malls/what have you so I get the occassional random call still, but not the crazy amount of calls and texts as before.

Anyway, last week I had a woman call me and ask me to call her back. Um...no way in hell! LoL I looked up the number and its for some lady in real estate around here, and Im not sure if it was a wrong number or what, but I dont think so. I hope never to have to deal with anyones SO.

I will never understand why escort list their numbers when emails are so much easier. On the phone, you're literally put on the spot. Via email , you can take time to think about what you send the guy back. Email only for me. Always.

Im a pretty quick thinker on the phone, but what prompted me to pull my number off everything were the stupid texts and calls. It hasnt affected my biz at all, since most guys who are good dates anyway have checked out my site, and think through what they want to say to me when they introduce themselves. Thats definitely the best way to do it.
