    Default Breast lift needed?

so I'm getting my boobs done by Dr. Revis in October. They require a 25% deposit on surgery with the remaining paid two weeks before your surgery. I emailed him with a picture of my boobs and said that I had lost weight and they were deflated looking and is there another procedure that I should get when I get the BA. When he emailed me back he said that a donut lift would help with the deflated look.

I don't know if he looked at my pics or not because the donut lift raises the nipple and mine are still pretty high on the breast anyway. I want to put down a deposit on the BA asap and want to know if I should include the lift as well. I don't know if you can 'add procedures' at the time of the surgery.

I will obviously email again and ask these questions if I continue to be unsure but I don't really think I need the lift. What do you ladies think?

Thanks in advance... I doubt that I would have gone through with this surgery if it wasn't for a few of you and the help that I got choosing a surgeon was amazing... were I'm from there really aren't that many good options that are cheap

depends on how big the implant is....if its a big one you shouldnt worry about needing a lift.but average implant...maybe.

my dr recommended i get a lift. i listened to him and got one. sooooo glad i did.

put down the deposit. when you go to see him the day before surgery ask him what he thinks. if he recommends a lift, get one. i'm sure there will be no problem waiting until the last minute to add it on.

I don't believe that a donut (Benelli) lift raises the nipple... Did he say that outright?

You will have some peri-areolar scarring with that procedure though, and to some dancers, that's not acceptable.

    Just my 2c.

Lusicious Sadie I think you look good. And looking at the distance between the end of the breasts and the belly button they don't look like they are sagging at all. I think implants will fill them out nicely. From my experience - and I have had several surgeries - it's best to postpone surgery until you really need it. The more surgery the more of a chance that things will go wrong (even with reputable surgeons). Besides the scars from surgery almost always show (at least on me) and do not tan along with the rest of your body.
I know scars can be concealed when dancing and under the dark lights, but I am self conscious of them when I'm on the beach or being intimate with a guy.
As for adding it on at the last minute, I can't see that being a problem if you have payment to hand, but my previous surgeon asked me to be sure of everything I wanted as I had to sign specific consent forms and allocate time for me in the OR. So best to check with him beforehand.

I got my revision done by Dr Revis, and I am suuuppperr happy. He had to make corrections along with the size increase. I also know tons of other girls that are extremely happy with his work. A good site to check out is justbreastimplants.com. Depending on the size and look you're going for a lift might or might not be required. He is a very good surgeon though, and has been noted quite a few times for his work, so whatever he suggests to get you where you want to be, Id say take his word.

I'm not a doctor or anything but I think you should go with big implants, silicone, under the muscle. I don't think you'd need a lift then.

I don't want to go BIG. At first I wanted to just "fill them out" but then after seeing your results and a few other girls I've thought "fuckit" and am going to go bigger than I originally thought.

this is about the size I want:

Try reading this, it could help you better decide whether to do the lift or not. I do trust Revis' word... He gets so many patients that he does not need to sell or up-pitch more services unless he feels it'll help his client. He suggested my implant size, even though I did my research and knew it should have been around there, but he picked a size that looks good, not too small nor big but mainly that had no problems post-op such as tearing, or bottoming out etc.. I would trust his word, but this might help you decide better

I know nothing about implants, but if he recommended a lift, I would go with his advice. From the picture, I don't think it could hurt.

I think you could use a lift, not for the nipple placement but for the deflated look to your boobs. Sure, your nipples aren't looking at the floor but you do have a good deal of breast tissue that's migrated below your mammary fold (the part where your boobs fold over on themselves). Given some time, that could certainly get worse. At bare minimum I don't think it would hurt and I would also recommend listening to Dr. Revi, he really does do a fabulous job with no need to upsell (thanks again Kisca!).

I don't think you'll be able to achieve the fullness of your second two goal pics without a lift (but maybe the first with a risk of future decreased upper pole fullness).

Definitely not an expert, just sharing my opinion with no intent to offend.

I appreciate your honesty and the info! I always wanted a lift when I was younger because I have never had boobs that sat higher up. Even before I lost weight they were always kind of low down and I do want them higher. If I can't get that without a lift then I'll go ahead with the lift as well

Twinkle Toes is also right... I don't want to regret not doing it later and have to go back for a second surgery A lot of people seem to regret not getting bigger implants right off the bat so that is something else, y know.

    thanks ladies!

I'm also a firm believer that going with implants large enough to 'tighten up' loose skin from the 'inside' beats the hell out of having skin removed via lift surgery ... with collateral damage i.e. scars, loss of nerve sensitivity etc.

I'm still going back and forth on the whole thing. I'm going to ask (when I'm booking the surgery) if I can add a procedure "last minute" because I would prefer to have the Dr. look at and really examine my boobs first. I also don't really want to have scarring around my nipples from the lift while I'm a dancer. I am not against getting the lift if he really does think that it is for the best but there are a lot of cons too. As well, I am not opposed to the idea of getting a lift later on

On JBI there was a thread about larger implants in lieu of a lift. OP are you on there?

I'm not a member of JBI but I might join. I did some measuring and I think that the picture I posted is misleading (to me and to y'all) since it is taken from below.

I only have about 2cm's of tissue that has traveled below the mammary fold even though in the OP it looks like most of my boob is down past that. My nipples are also much better placed when they are not being shot from underneath. I'm still going to call the Dr and ask if I can add on other procedures nearer / right before my surgery as there are other things that I'm interested in but that picture is seriously misleading after reading especially the link that Kisca posted.

Hey, you should take his advice...he is the best of the best. I had a donut lift with implants with him back in September. I was surprised about the lift suggestion for myself as well, but he knows what he is talking about. Don't worry about the scars, mine were gone by like 8 weeks.

How bad do you scar? I don't have a donut lift, but I've had two breast augs through the areola. The second one being a little bigger bc i had the gummy shoved in. You still cannot see it. So I'd imagine it'd be the same with a donut lift.

I highly recommend "wound-be-gone" scar gel. Silicone scar sheets. You can also laser the scars too in addition. Ask about that. Maybe he can show you pictures of girls whose had the donut lift.

I'd honestly rather wait until he sees me in person before he suggests a lift or not. I wouldn't mind going with another procedure as well if necessary but considering that picture is a year old and at a weird angle I don't think that it's is representative anymore.

BabyMolly, can you post your pics / scars or PM them to me? Thanks so much

I'd do it that way too. Just suggesting in case you do. good luck with the surgery. Love to see your outcome. I may use him for my third surgery.

I thought I was going to need a lift. I had Monica Bellucci boobs. My doctor advised against it, as did the other 5 doctors I saw. I was like you, my nipples didn't point towards the ground, and the implant ended up filling them out nicely. They told me I had pseudo ptosis, mine looked similar to yours. I also thought I had tubular breast deformity. My doctor told me that with the donut lift you don't get as optimal results as just a regular full breast lift, so is the scar tradeoff (and those scars can be very scary) worth a not guaranteed chance for a major improvement? I also had the same end goal shape as you, I wanted a slightly saggy (that sounds bad) natural look with a little hang. I actually wish mine hung more, they're still bolted on fakey fake looking to me....

thanks JD, that's kind of how I feel about the whole natural sag thing. I want mine to look like the ones in the first and third pic... I don't need super high up boobies like the second.

I have booked my apt without the lift. If I end up needing a second surgery to get a lift then I will do that probably when I am done dancing and don't care as much about scarring.

this is a more up to date picture of them. Hopefully you can see what I mean as far as that picture being out of date / not being a good angle.

the 'mammary fold' isn't as high as it seems, btw.
