Default VIP rooms or Identifying a whale

I am very new to stripping. In fact I have just started. So far I have only gotten lap dances, that are $20 each and obviously did not make enough money (my first night was $250, second and third I made $100 each). I know that the REAL money is in the VIP rooms. But I simply do not know how to position a question asking if he wants to buy a more expensive dance from me?? In my club VIP rooms are VERY expensive! So I guess my question is how do you get a customer in the VIP room? What are you supposed to say/do?

Thank you so much, girls. I appreciate all your answers:-)

Read hustle hut. Read and read and read and read.

Also consider investing in Strip and Grow Rich.

Jenny there are nights I have walked out of the club w fat money after selling no vip's, just tons of dances, and nights I have spent my whole shift in vip.
It's great to sell vip, but it's just as important to get good at selling dances, you can make lots of money just at that on the nights when nobody buys vip.

I love vip bc it's usually a guy who really likes me, I get to sit and talk more so it's less tiring, and it's more money. But it's also more expensive which means it just doesn't sell as often. Get good at selling the cheaper product too (dances!!!).

    Good luck!

I also agree with the poster who said you can make good money off of regular dances. I used to regularly break $600 off of only $20 dances and tips (always ask for one at the end of each dance!) and one time I even made $1000. Don't hate on $20 dances!

How much is "really expensive?" clubs won't keep prices customers won't pay for. I used to work for a club that had $2000 hours (no alcohol) because the club catered to customers that would stumble in at 4 am coked out. Likewise, I've worked at clubs that have really extravagant CRs for as little as $250-300/half hour because that was the highest customers would regularly pay.

Read thru the stickies in HH. The only real advice I can give you is always bring up the most expensive hour first and if they seem weary then suggest you start out with a cheap half hour. If they seemed shocked and scared then laugh it off and suggest a $20 dance.

i need to remember to offer it first. our club is new to champagne and we only keep $200 for the hour if they pay cash and $160 for the hour if they pay credit so on busy weekend nights sometimes it seems better to just do dances.

I think the first thing you need to do when trying to sell a V.I.P is change how you are thinking. You said it, "VIP rooms are VERY expensive". You need to not think like this, because if you think they are expensive, then it will rub off on the customer. if you are sat there talking to them and deep down you feel like they are expensive and not really worth it, and this guy probably cant afford it any way, then you are not going to sell them. You need to convince yourself that VIPs are good value for money, better then regular dances, that you deserve them, they are easy to sell, and that everybody has the potential to take you into a VIP. it helps if you believe in what you are selling!

I am new to this so if you don't mind me asking. Are the numbers mentioned here before or after tipout/house fees/club share/whatever

& remember to ask everyone of your customers even if it seems they haven't got money. I've gotten more VIPs from younger men than older ones.

A lot of girls will complain that they "haven't made anything yet" when in reality they've already made $120 but ordered food, got a few drinks, and bought a new bikini from the outfit guy. Thinking of it that way seems too depressing to me so I always include any money I've spent in my total earnings, and I think it helps me not spend money while at work too.

Btw, I used to (and still try to...but I'm getting lazy) track all of my money in a detailed excel document that had columns like this:
    Money: (so, my earnings)
Hours: (hours spent at the club)
Total $$: (all the money before cuts)
Dance $$: (all of the money I earned in dances before cuts)
House: (Whatever the house took in the form of fees and cuts)
Funny Money: (amount of money that I lost because I got paid in funny money instead of cash)
Tip out: (total amount of money I tipped out to the staff)

You should never think of money that is going to the house as "your" money. It's very depressing, and I think it encourages bad work ethic. I would see a lot of girls complain about how much of "their" money the house is taking, whereas me and my friends would always have those cuts on our brain the entire time and would be a little more creative about getting tips to make up for those cuts. Yeah, it sucks to work at a club that takes very high cuts but as long as they are set in stone and you know about them ahead of time, you can definitely work around them and actually make "your" money.
Thanks a bunch! Great info. Seems like my goal is very doable.

You know, at your club's rate for rooms and if you're making $20 a song on the floor - there really isn't much of a point in going to a room and putting up with evil octopus tentacle man.

If your club plays 8-10 songs per half hour (probably closer to , you're looking at $160-$200 for a half hour of just dancing on the floor. And VIP is basically the same price? For dances with privacy?

Where I work in Atlanta, we make $10 a song. Selling a room for a $200 a half hour means that I'm basically doubling my money. That's why I try to sell it.

If you really want to sell them though, work the conversation/quiet/colder angles - not dancing. The guys that bite are the ones who usually go back - and stay there.

BOTM you're so right.. I did a looooong string of dances for a customer last night and it was very exhausting. But that's besides the point that that rarely happens. In the CR, you take breaks, chat... If I had done that I would have never gotten all those dances.
