    Default How did you workout today?

    As a complement to the "What Did you Eat Today?" thread, I thought I'd add a workout thread. It'd be fun to see all the different ways you girls stay in shape!



    Today I did Tae Bo for 45 minutes haha. It's an oldie but a goodie; still my favorite cardio!

    I read Marie Claire on the Arc Trainer for 40 minutes, then tried to watch TV on the elliptical, but nothing good was on... Bad me!!

    1 mile walk and then 3 sets of 20 pushups, assisted pull-ups, bench press, and this other arm workout lol that i dont know what its called a little boxing and throwing the medicine ball.... im gonna be ripped up soon and i dont want that lol but trying to be a trooper with my man and get us into a healthy lifestyle.... i was sweating my ass off!

    Oh great! You start this thread on my rest day!

    I started working out last week, did 4 days in a row and decided to take a break today. But right now my plan is cardio every day for half an hour, and half hour cardio plus weights M, W, F. Ill try to take one or two break days a week, on my non-strength training days. I did my first day of strength training yesterday (hence my break today...body was kind of killing me!!) and will be back at it again tomorrow.

    So far, for cardio, Ive been doing the elliptical (my knees are shot, so I cant do anything much more high impact than that)... Ive been doing incline 10/resistance 8 for half an hour, and feeling like I wasnt doing anything. On my last cardio day, I discovered the interval training setting, and that put me at incline 3/resistance 1 for 2 minutes, then incline 10/resistance 8 for 2 minunites, for half an hour. Now *that* I felt....

    For strength training, Im using the machines, I have a list of them that I go through, and taking notes on the weights that Im using.. But for the most part 2 sets of 12 reps..which in a couple weeks, after I get the hang of it and not as weak, Ill up to 2 reps of 15 reps... Im great at planning stuff, lets see if I actually DO it

    Half hour of Tae Bo today, followed by a half hour of walking.

    Today was a strength training today, so it was heavy free weights

    Okay, today was strength training day!!!

    I was still mega sore from Mon and totally dreading it..I even sent a shout out on FB asking my friends for encouragement, and one of em told me to stay home and curl up on the couch instead of going to the gym

    But the crazy thing is, as soon as I started working out, all the soreness I felt was gone...GONE! and as soon as I was done the soreness came back. So like, if working out makes the soreness go away, Im neverrrr missing a workout day again!

    Okay, so today I did 20m of interval training on the elliptical, then did 2 sets, 12 reps each of:
    Leg curls 100 lbs
    Leg press 110 lbs
    Bicep curl 40 lbs
    Tricep extension 35 lbs
    Chest press 25 lbs and
    Ab crunches 3 sets of 12 reps.

    The arms are killing and I think Im fine there, but I think I can stand to add more weights to my leg curls and leg presses, also Im going to add one more set to my ab crunches, and add in back, shoulder and calf strength exercises next time.

    Today is my at home workout day
    1 set 10 squats
    1 set 10 squats with side leg lift
    2 sets forward stepping lunges
    1 set 10 hamstring lifts both legs
    1 set 10 hamstring lifts each leg separate
    1 set 40 various leg/butt lifts each leg
    10 slow Pilates bum lifts
    Pilates leg series
    2 sets 15 calf raises
    120 reps various types of sit-ups
    1 set 10 push ups
    1 set 10 tricep push ups

    60m of elliptical interval training...my very first time ever going over 30m!
    I was sweating so hard, thought I was going to die, but I did it and I feel awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yesterday I did a class at the gym for an hour that combined stretching, ab work, dancing and some other stuff. It was my first class in YEARS, and I loved it. Being self-conscious made me work harder, and if I got bored, I had to stick it out. Going to start going to a class every time I go to the gym!

    Sex with my boyfriend, then took the dog for a walk, work tonight. >.> I hate the gym.

    I really need to get back into martial arts and using my punching bag, I miss them.

    Home workout again today its raining and can't be bothered going to the gym. My joints are pretty sore from work this week. Ill be having a couple days off too. Its my bday party tonight so Ill be dancing for at least 6 hours

    Did 15m cardio, then went into my strength training today. I was really wiped...like seriously wiped. But I did it.

    Today I only biked to work and back, about 30 minutes, but yesterday I went on a big long bike ride with some friends 45 min each way. I am loving this workout! Its great for me because I'm really busy so I can combine socializing and working out AND exploring the city to boot. Plus I have a lot of friends that are dudes so biking is a great bonding activity with them

    Started the Jillian Michaels workout DVD, was getting into it, then my 11month old turned the xbox off. :/
    I was too lazy to start over.
    So then I just chased my kids around the house and cleaned. Think that counts!

    I did get running shoes today, so I'm going to start running tomorrow!
    along with my dancing and Zumba, that'll be fun. Running will be so much more relaxing, it will give me a moment of peace in the day.

    I walked 7 miles today. Thought about doing some weight trainning when I got home, but was too tired from all that walking.

    Ugh I took a week off last week, went back last night. Did an hr on the eliptical 30 mins of abs. It fucking killed me. Never doing it again. (taking a week off)

    an hour-ish of plyometrics mixed with some old gymnastics skills and workouts in the morning, then in the afternoon 30 minutes of kick ASS pilates followed by ten minutes of static stretching. helllllooooo again rippling abs, it's been a while yay!

    I keep forgetting about this thread. Yesterday I did 20mins fast walking on incline then 45 mins weight training arms and back and 5 mins abs. Think Ill do pilates reformer today.

    Just saw this thread but leg day today, single leg extension to warm up the knees, single leg curls to warm up the hams, squats, lying legs curls, lunges. I felt a small pop during squats at the bottom of the motion but worked through it. I need to stretch tonight & tomorrow, slight pain.

    I finally got my ass up and did cardio 30min this morning, insanity abs vid 15min, lunger series 15min./Glamor dvd,super sweatty!

    I walked a mile to Hot Bikram Yoga, did 90 minutes of bastardised hatha yoga in 100 degrees & walked back a mile back again with more energy & more food than I ventured in with
