^ your freakin right. and any WOMAN who feels the need to "diet" like this, "purge herself", or put down others bigger than a size 2 needs help. or should maybe just go kill themselves....seeing thats what your already doing.
this is ridiculous. why comform to the way media wants you to be. step up, grow some balls, and have some self esteem. yes ofcourse healthy is good, and being at a healthy weignt should be a goal. but damn! these practices are obviously UNHEEEAAAALTHY!
some of you gals needs some help. this blog has some deeper rooted issues.......lying behind the "lets be healthy!" message.

Having been on here since 2006, I have to say this is very true and I'm glad to see some of the girls finally speaking out. I may seem outspoken about this issue but believe it or not, I've actually been biting my lip a lot around here recently. Just a short while ago, some creep posted a pic of an anorexic girl looking no older than 13 in the 'perfect body' thread and not ONE person called him out other than me! A couple years ago he would have been told to fuck off left and right and his stupid pic would have been deleted.

And sadly this is a reflection of a disgusting trend in popular culture.

At some point around 3 or 4 years ago, most of the media pretty much decided to ignore that eating disorders even exist and shifted to pushing the skeletal look nonstop. As far as the idiots are concerned, anorexia and bulimia no longer mean anything...you can never be too skinny, but you can be fat, and by fat they usually mean above 100 lbs.

And it's not just stupid gossip sites either. Even sites like HuffPo have been taking part in the bullshit. They were criticized by their readers for doing so, but the damage is already done to those who are vulnerable or too young to know better. The whole thing is one of the most disturbing cases of propaganda and brainwashing I've seen in my lifetime, and I've been noticing the depressing results of it all over the place in the past year. For the first time ever, I'm seeing girls as young as 13 or 14 walking around looking like meth-heads. I've seen more anorexic women in the last 5 months alone than I saw in my entire life before that! And I say that without a hint of exaggeration.

Until a year or two ago you would see member pics of all shapes and sizes. Some were petite, some were curvy, some were in between. But they were all considered sexy in their own way because there wasn't this pressure for all women to be size two. In fact some of the site's hotties by popular consensus were actually very curvy (and I'm thinking of some specific names). Recently I posted a pic of a woman with a figure very similar to those members...people started coming out of the woodwork to tell me she looks fat and pregnant! This kind of thing never happened until literally a year or two ago.

The sad thing is it's very easy to make people believe they're just "being healthy" when they're clearly underweight or even dangerously thin. But the rest of us have to speak up. An entire generation of young girls are being brainwashed into hating themselves for simply being normal. The bullshit has to stop.

And sitting here yelling saying "you girls need some help"..what the hell is that going to do or prove??
Like anyone really gives a shit or cares who here may or may not have some "serious issues"??
Sitting here being judgmental in the way saying some girls need some serious help because they like some of the tips is no better than that girl who wrote the blog.

You would think this would be a place of support, but it seems like all anyone wants to ever do is judge and point fingers and say "you're wrong, you're crazy, get help, you all have issues..etc etc" for thinking a different way.
We're all not going to agree ladies, and if you seriously think someone needs some professional help, then maybe PM them, talk to them, offer advice instead of just sitting here calling a group of people names. It's not going to do or change anything.

I finally did read some of the articles on that blog, and I do agree...that girl is extremely harsh and extremely judgmental.
While I do like a naturally thinner body, I can find beauty in most women and most bodies.
I think it's fucking hilarious how judgmental the writer of that blog is, YET...I don't see any pics of her "perfect body"!!
She's probably fatter than all the girls she's making fun of.
and also find it even more amusing of how big of a hypocrite she is...telling other girls to not make personal attacks "Personal attacks against anyone. Grow up, or go sit at the kiddie table! yet, that's exactly what she's doing!
    Ugh, that's sad.

Here is the thread that clearly states these types of threads are not tolerated on SW

    http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...hlight=pro+ana

    Hopefully, this will be enforced.

the site itself is promoting unhealthy body image and eating habits and is potentially dangerous. However i dont think the discussion of said site is pro ana and most of the comments have agreed that it is not a useful or healthy perspective.

and personally i think lindsay lohan looks great in those photos and much better than she did when she was so skinny

    EXACTLY!
SO to _Avery_ no bodys judging you. saying girls need help, or this is unhealthy is not judging someone. its stating pure facts. TO EACH HIS OWN.

and _Avery_ is right at the same time about the bitch who started the blog. she should post someics of her so we can judge her from head to toe.

im not here to judge im just putting into words what i clearly see is very dangerous; especially to the young and impressionable girls out there that are suffering.
this site is disgusting, and its sad to me that some women of stripper web would LIKE it. maybe she does have some ok tips but looking at this blogs over all motives <=== ugh!!!

i feel SW STANDS FOR WOMEN EMPOWERMENT( not just for exotic dancers, but mainly). and that horrible site is the opposite.
but whatever TO EACH HIS OOOOOOOOWN

Whoa girls! I think some of you got it, and some totally missed my point...

I'm in no way "pro ana," nor was I promoting the blog. I had never even heard of thinspo/fitspo til this thread! I found the site to be something worth discussing, given its content, and was clearly successful in that regard lol.

Now back to your regularly scheduled stripperweb....

Oh, and if any of you have preferred tumblrs you follow, do tell!

Thanks for bringing up this rule Chloe. I did discuss with some of the moderators and we all agreed that in this case the thread is really a discussion. But its a good reminder that we want to promote healthy lifestyles and body image in body business. Members should be aware of this rule when posting.
