Wait... I may have read wrong but did you just agree to date a heaux board owner? Why? Why are you allowing some board owner to vouch for another guy? That is like a client saying "I have a friend , he doesn't have references and doesn't feel comfortable giving employment details either" and this board owner has never been a client of yours. An acquaintance of a board owner? I'm sorry love but I've been doing this long enough to know when something doesn't smell right about that whole arrangement. Why are you the first escort that he's contacting? Being a heaux board owner is not verifiable - those guys are completely 100% anonymous. Do you know the board owner? No. If he (the acquaintance) wants to see you that bad, tell him that you need verifiable employment info ALONG with a deposit (50% to secure your time together). This is what I require for guys with no references. However, even then I would never date a heaux board owner/someone that claims to be an acquaintance and hasn't seen any of the chicks on there. I want to know what advertising board this is. I would also love to know what happens to you when you reject a date with this guy. These board owners and their friends have been known to threaten and ruin girls' reps for declining a date with them. I can pm you info about a board owner that is KNOWN for doing this. I know a few of these guys and a lot of them are nothing but TROUBLE. You should just stick to regular guys and avoid the drama that is about to unfold at all costs. Yes, you fucked up by giving him your menu, Yes, you fucked up by agreeing to see him. Why? Because you know absolutely nothing about him, no reference , no verifiable employment info should = NO date. Accepting a date simply because a guy is a member of one of these board is the fastest way to get busted.

NEVER EVER discuss sex services in any form of communication, regardless of his refs, friends or reputation. While this one time probably won't hurt you, its very unwise to use contact for anything other than setting up the date and verifying. Have a FAQ page for all the other questions so you don't have to email back and forth.
If I were in your position, i wouldnt meet him unless he could provide employment info and he has some sort of online presence (linkdin, newspaper articles, journal contributions etc.) References are never good enough for me. Then again, I would never entertain questions pertaining to sex. Any man who insists on a "menu" is not a gentleman.
Perhaps its best that you become suddenly unreachable.
It's not about what you do for a living, it's about who you want to be.

^You are right about that, Teaze. These guys are the reason I burn out. Collectors and fantasists make me sick! This guy sounds annoying. Some of the guys on the boards like to see how LESS they can give out with screening. Usually I am pretty good at figuring things out. There are many ways to screen. If you feel confident with what he has given you see him. The menu question is common. I am going to change a few of the words around on my website and stop answering stupid questions. It is too stressful. Do you have a no review policy?

Just be really selective if a TER member contacts you. They aren't all bad. Or you can do what I did: remove your email address and phone number from your site. Replace with a contact form asking for all the necessary info. Have a very clear FAQ page to eliminate any doubt from the client's mind.
Maintain a blog or twitter for people with additional questions. Why? because only the ones who intend to spend $ should get private attention. Everyone else can take a damn number. It sends a clear message that you only want to deal with respectful, serious gentleman.
When it was first suggested to me i worried that it would chase clients away. It (along with other cool marketing tactics) has actually increased my business and I spend less time on the phone or answering email. It made my personal/work life balance so much easier to manage.
Check out my site to see what I mean.

Some clients prefer to ask questions before they book. Maybe the question has to do with your schedule for a certain day - how do you address this if you don't have an email address for them to ask questions? Do you also have a mini contact form for just questions? Do you think it's a good idea? instead of plastering email addy everywhere.
Also if you advertise on EROS you need to post an email or phone number. How would you advertise on eros using this system? Thanks!

Yeah, I have lots of reviews and still frequently get asked
"what's on my menu". It's usually the ones that just want to talk dirty,
the gross ones, the hagglers, and the ones that have that "authority"
on the review boards. Ick.

Ugh on the guy asking for a menu. That to me sounds like either an idiot, or entrapment. If he's not a cop, he's not very smart. Most smart guys, even ones not that experienced with escorts should figure out that it's putting both of you at risk to ask that. But I guess these tools that are desperate to make sure they're getting every little penny's worth don't think long enough to worry about that.
Tabitha, your website is lovely. If I could successfully break into the business, that's the kind of image I would want to project. I know you probably get some idiots, as does everyone I imagine, but I would guess many of your customers are of good quality, because quality men are going to like a companion that offers more than just nice photos.

Teaze, I'm not saying you have to show me but I would really like to see your website. There is something you are doing wrong. ALSO if you have high rates for someone that doesn't have reviews and you're staying busy and just not getting reviews - I'd say keep things that way but if you are not busy, not getting reviews and have high rates - I say lower them a bit , get a few reviews and then raise them back up. When I first started working, I started at 275 and kept raising my rates from there. When you have kick ass reviews to back your rates up, business will always be good.

Dude you're asking $500 / $650 an hour without at least a few rave reviews? Unrealistic BIG time.

And for NO bbbj? Well if you're not busy, you know the reason why.

Yes but usually those ladies had reviews to begin with and then decided to take them down or they never have had reviews and join HDH groups and get clients by referrals/word of mouth. If you want to go that route, then don't plan on being busy. In this day and age , reviews will get things moving even if you have just 4 or 5. I remember when I first started. It was ONE review that took my business to a whole new level.

Tease, I will say this though... if those pics are you then you are absolutely gorgeous but I still don't know many guys that will pay $650 for a bbbj. And you're in Cali too where everyone and their grandma is given it away for next to free. I say tour and see how it goes. Hell for damn sure, try DC. Those guys will LOVE you at that rates but still don't know about safe gfe.

I got a job booking for an agency in LA. I have seen Teaze's pics and I think she could charge even more. We have girls not even as close to as hot as Teaze that are being consistently booked at $700 an hour.
Maybe I don't know what I am talking about, but this is LA. Guys LOVE big fake tits and blonde hair and there is a shit ton of money here. SO MUCH FUCKING MONEY! Yeah, some girls maybe giving it away for free but they don't look like Teaze.
Teaze I don't think you need reviews. Keep doing what you are doing. You are sexxxxxxxxxxxy!!!!!!

Tease is competing against SUPER HOT SUPERMODELS WITH REVIEWS AND SUPER HOT SUPERMODELS THAT ARE GIVING IT UP FOR FREE in LA. If she is busy then it's obvious to see why but she's not going to get a lot of business without reviews. Whether we like it or not the review boards are a big part of the industry, they are not cheap ass bottom feeders as some like to think. My wealthiest clients came from TER. Most of my business came from ter and ALL the guys were pefect gentlemen. Yes, She is HOT but there are girls just as hot in LA WITH reviews , with the same or lower rates AND they are GFE. So maybe she shouldn't lower her rate but she should most definitely keep that in mind. In this business, I am a firm believer in you have to crawl before you walk. You get the reviews that says you're the bomb and jack your rates as high as you want. That way you have something that says 1.) I am the shiznit!! 2.) Yes I am AWESOME in the ----- . lol!
Just my opinion ladies but tease yes you are gorgeous. That body is smoking and I'm totally gay for you but if you're looking for more income the review boards is that extra umph you're missing. Edit to add: Bottom line is if you can afford to wait for the money, then keep doing what you're doing. If you can't .....

THIS.
I still have the email address there, along with instructions to refer to my FAQ/blog/twitter. Most questions are answered there, but they can use the blog or twitter to ask additional questions. In my (personal) experience, the ones with a million questions never lock down a booking. The point is that PRIVATE attention is reserved for the ones who book. They can ask as many questions as they like on the forums provided.
This works for providers who want to trim the fat. It seems teaze is in the same position I was - being on the receiving end of a bunch of inane/inappropriate questions.
Oh, and I also have a newsletter clients can subscribe to. If they have a particular question about something in the newsletter I will gladly answer those emails. There are many things that can be done to make the experience more personal for the client without monopolizing my time with calls and emails from window shoppers.
After reading this thread, its understood teaze is the hot blonde porn star model type - because of her mass appeal, she will attract anyone and everyone, thus her issue.
Teaze, PM me your web address.
It's not about what you do for a living, it's about who you want to be.

You know I'm really starting to believe some ladies just attract assholes because I have never had anyone say this to me.
Listen, this will sound funny coming from me but at $650 an hour with NO reviews you are attracting guys that do not post reviews/don't do much on the review boards. So you can't really be mad. I would personally advise you to appeal to a much larger market by offering a TOFTT special to get those reviews, grandfather the guys that do see you (if you want) and call it a day. I really do think this is how you will get reviews and attract review writers. Right now you are competing with HOT girls that are doing everything under the sun for $250, and girls that are having sex with these high rollers (your potential client base) for free, you are safe GFE which automatically crosses you off of a lot of guys "to do" list, you have no reviews AND you charge $$$$$$$ per hour. Again... unrealistic. The guys probably just look at your pics and go "Yeah right. I've seen this before. hot girl , probably provides shitty service. not taking chances" and they move on.
Any guy that tries to bribe you during an appointment should be kicked out immediately or blacklisted. I would not deal with such idiots.
Wait .. so what do you think NYC is? Sweetie it is the same thing. However, you will probably do well there. You look "blonde hair all american" does well anywhere but your rate $650 for an hour and SAFE gfe will NOT fly in NYC unless you are a dynamo in the sack.I feel like I'll have to get into porn in order to charge a higher rate in this industry and make it consistently? Thank god I'll be moving to nyc because it's over saturated here.
I'm sorry but I have to say it. In NYC, you are competing with drop dead gorgeous sex goddesses that are GFE, $500 an hour and have pages and pages of reviews to back it up. So yes while we may not like the reviews, they can make or break us.
As for porn, Really? Porn because you want to charge more money as an escort? Please THINK before you do such thing. Porn is permanent. Porn is evidence that you were in this world. As an escort, stripper, massage girl..etc: one of the perks is that no one has a video of you doing anything or anyone. IT'S GREAT if your family is cool with it, you don't care if the whole world knows what your labia looks like and you don't care to have the "slut" stamp but I'll tell you something.. as an escort I'm glad my next door neighbor doesn't have a clue what I do for a living. With porn, your family members and future kids (if you plan to have any) will know you as a porn star. That stamp never goes away. I wouldn't do that just because I want to charge more money as an escort ESPECIALLY when I know I can make 20k a month easily traveling and NOT fucking anyone on camera. If you really do not care about your image or what people will think then knock yourself out but I don't think it's smart to get into porn because you want to charge more money as an escort. NOT smart at all.
So why would you cancel a $1,500 appointment tomorrow? That is not smart at all lol. This is a business. Only the strong will survive. As I said $650 girls rarely appear on the scene they climb that ladder and become $650 girls.Bah this whole situation is so discouraging that it makes me not want to be in this industry at all. A month of allowing reviews and not getting even 1 is pretty ridiculous. I've been asking for a review and even advertised for a discount if a review was given. So its been making me avoid clients for the past couple days. I even cancelled a 1500 appointment tomorrow with a guy who's realllllly sexy.

Sweetie, just because an escort is "busy" doesn't mean she's seeing anyone and everyone. A girlfriend of mine made 14k in 9 days traveling the mid-atlantic area two weeks ago. She screened every single one of those guys. Is she low volume? No but she runs a tight ship. Yes, there is a lot of drama on the boards but you do not have to be apart of it. Just post your ads and stick to yourself.
Agreed. Cancelling that appointment is dumb. Seriously.
Teaze - Your EGO is clinging to that $650/hr rate while keeping you from making WAY more money. I'm guessing you can only accept yourself being "in the business" as long as you're a high-rate princess. DO NOT TIE YOUR RATES TO YOUR SELF IMAGE OR SENSE OF WORTH. This is a business. Your EGO is keeping you down. Cut that weight loose so you can make more money! You could lower your rates & increase your monthly income.
Your EGO can insist thatBUT your clients may not hold that same opinion of you. (Ego check time!) These men see ladies just as hot as you (or hotter) who are more experienced than you, have their shit together better than you do, know the business better than you do, fuck as well (or much better) than you, and may have more engaging personalities than you do - and their rates are lower than yours. Many of them are also making more money monthly than you. That is the reality.bitch please, my rate is fucking cheap for what I'm providing!
You can be stunning in the looks department, but that won't get you that far and it won't get you into the "Top Provider" category you desire. Most guys won't TOFTT to the tune of $650/hr and covered bj. When guys have a session with a new stunner who rocks their world, they are usually compelled to write reviews (so they can brag to the world). If you don't have reviews on RedBook or TER or BigDoggie by now, I think something is missing.
Have you read the full details/"juicy details" of the reviews of ladies who charge $600-700+ per hour? I bet if you read them, you'd learn some things to help your own business.
You need to up your performance game & set rates correctly to attract more business & you will get reviews. THEN raise your rates (if your reviews and volume of inquiries supports doing so). Raise your rates when you are receiving more inquiries from (fully verified) clients than you can see per week/month. You may think my post is harsh, but this business is harsh. Think of this as "tough love" and translate it into cash!
Returning to your originally posted question...
Yes, you messed up. No, I would not see this joker or his friend and I would cease all contact. Don't waste your time with the Good 'ol Boys Club. (You just gained +1 Experience!)
One other thing -
Don't advertise or offer discounts for reviews. It's tacky, makes you look desperate and attracts assholes (like the many you've posted about here).

Just an idea, do you have any more experienced friends in this industry? I was able to start with somewhat higher rates and be successful because a very well respected girl showed me a lot and vouched for me and helped me network on a personal level with men of wealth and influence in my city. That personal connection has made reviews somewhat irrelevant as well. Then again, you can only lead a horse to water - its your personality that seals the deal.
And I agree, NYC is going to be just as tough if not moreso...I say this in all hopes you'd at least try it: you would make a killing in Texas. Also would be a great place for you to strip. New Orleans during convention season would be great for you as well. In Atlanta you'd stand out as a rarity. I'd avoid LA, NYC, or Miami but come back when you do get those reviews. In all 3 cities/states you'd also be kickass as a stripper, Dallas especially. (IDK if that's your comfort level but a lot of escorts can be very successful without reviews by meeting guys OTC) Also, cost of living is much much lower so if thats part of your financial anxiety with lowering rates, you might take some comfort in that.
PS - The highest reviewed, top notch GFE provider in this city (New Orleans) is $500/hr I believe. IMHO you look much better then her, but lets not push our luck.

I'm sorry but I disagree with that Dallas comment. Anyone that knows this industry well knows that Dallas is a VERY saturated market. Go online on p411 and tell me how many girls you see in Dallas. There are super HOT girls in dallas charging $250 an hour. She will not make it in Dallas. Guys will label her a GPS and she will see only a few guys and maybe not even that without the reviews to back her. $650 an hour is a high toftt rate. I'm not trying to discourage you, Teaze please keep us updated.

Teaze, if you would like to know what Atlanta is at generally, mid level providers, $275 to $325.00. VIP's, $400 to $500. There are some HDH ladies here who still start at two hour minimums, around $1,000, but I see they are on the review/message boards more frequently than they once were, so I'm not sure how regularly they are working. I've talked to a few well established and respected ladies here, and they all said things have been harder in the past three or four years. Like Daniella mentioned, they told me initially they were able to just network with a small group of folks and avoid the review boards entirely, but when the economy tanked, they had to put themselves out there more.
Having said all that, if I felt I couldn't charge what I felt comfortable with, I'd rather go into some other work rather than bring my rates down below what I could live with in my heart. At the end of the day, you have to be happy with yourself and if you're miserable because you're charging significantly less than you want, that will probably come across. If you're a blonde stunner, you could probably meet a very wealthy man around here who would be happy to marry you and set you up, if that's what you wanted. The blonde look is very popular here w/wealthy guys.
(saying this as an olive skinned Mediterranean lady, who would unfortunately probably do much better w/men in the northeast than the south).
