Travel New in the us! Help!

    Hey there!

I just moved to Los Angeles from Europe and was hoping someone could tell me how everything works in the southern CA clubs. From what I´ve read here in the forum it´s not like in Europe. Like, in europe (I´ve worked mostly in Sweden) we specialize in "champagne room/ lap dance/ cuddle/ therapy session" so we usually charge like $300 for 2 songs,we never go around the club just asking for dances we put our hearts in it and make them feel like a King (really annoying but helps you pay the rent and really cute Chanel bags), we don´t tip the bartender, bouncer or DJ. Guys never tip us on stage so this might sound stupid but how many % of what you make is from stage tips? It also seems we´re a little nastier than the US, like, dildo shows, touching is allowed (not 6!) etc etc....

So, basically, I´d love some info about the clubs here so when I start working here I don´t make a complete ass of myself! And help me figure out how to make money without my eurp trix! And also if you know of any club where I would fit in, I´m a scaredy cat so fighting in the dressing room is really not my cup of tea!

A little about myself, I´ve been dancing since I was 18 (I´m 26 now), I speak english with a dorky swedish accent, blond, 5,8, thin with natural C´s.

Hope someone can help me and if you have any questions about working in Europe just let me know and I´ll help as much as I can

    Have a good one!

Im not from SoCal, but in my club we have table dances (low to no contact), couch dances (low contact) and VIP rooms (low to moderate contact). Table dances are $15 a song and Couch dances are $25 a song in which we have to tip the house $5 of each table/couch dance we do. VIP rooms are $100 4 song minimum (roughly 10 minutes), and it's a 70/30 cut with the house (dancer takes $70, house takes $30).

House fee depends on when you are ready. If I am ready by 7:30, I only have to pay $10. It goes up $5 every 30 minutes. I tip the DJ and VIP Host about 10% depending on how good of a night I had.

Our club offers no extras. It's pretty low contact for the most part. I would keep it clean, where ever you go. Try to use your accent to your benefit.. Im sure you will get a lot of attention for it.

Hi, sorry to threadjack, but I wanted to ask what visa are you on? Are you on a legit working visa or a tourist visa? I'm from Europe too and been thinking about travelling to Canada/USA to work there. I thought it is quite hard to just go to the States and work unless you are going to study there or something. Then again I haven't looked into it very much so I might be wrong.

Marley13, thank you so much for the reply. Of course I´m gonna keep it clean, as I do in europe too, just read what I wrote and I come out as a total euro hooker :S What I meant by euro trix is that usually we straight out lie to our customers and let them think that they´ll have it all as long as they pay enough (it´s never enough), they usually leave the club with blue balls and a - in their bank account, poor guys, but since there´s only like 5 clubs where I am they come back in a month and I promise them that tonight is the Night.... So, what I meant was, I take it that is not OK in the US? And, how do you keep a guy in a champagne room song after song if you both know that nothing is never ever going to happen?
And also, do I bring my own music? Sorry for all the stupid questions, I know I´ll get all my questions answered when I go audition but I just like to be as prepared as possible. It´s amazing how little and lost you can feel just by moving to a new continent, even though you´re so experienced!

Purrfect, I´m on a legit working visa. I´m not an expert but I think the only chances you have on getting a permit is either by marriage, nanny visa or study. But I really don´t know. Maybe there are agencies you can go through? Where in Europe are you from?

Well, we're still all about that.. teasing men. However, I personally dont let them think they are going to get extras. I am straight forward about it and dont lead them on. I sell my dances and dances only. Sometimes I will get a guy who doesnt want to go to VIP because he cant get anymore than just a dance. I just tell them that doesnt happen here and if they are still being hesitant about going upstairs, I stop wasting my time on them.

I have no problems selling dances and VIPs in the club I work at, which is all low contact. The DJ will provide music for you- he may ask what genre you like or if you like a specific song. You have to tip your DJ at the end of the night, so he's going to want to give you exactly what you like so he can get the best tip from you.

Good luck when you audition. I have a feeling you will do just fine.
