When I first saw these I thought they were kinda neat but I prefer something low profile.

My friend has one and loves it. It's amazing how much money she's saved, and she says she doesn't miss the extra space at all, and it keeps her from acquiring a lot of junk.

Omgosh, I love these! So cute! That one little sleeper that can be built into the back of a pickup truck would be awesome for an extended road-trip! Totally bookmarked for future reference

They are way cute, but I could never live in one. With my son there would not be enough room for him to play and as my family grows larger it would feel like a prison cell. It would be fun to take a road trip with one though!

I've settled on living in a much larger house that costs about the same ( in the near $50,000 range ) !!! Of course, I had to move 'way south of the border' to find this sort of low pricing / low cost of living.

For the same square footage and amenities at this price you could by a travel trailer. Though I admit the wood and the finish are much nicer. I don't think I like climbing a ladder to go to be. Like others said it would be fun for trips though!

If you go to http://www.youtube.com/user/kirstendirksen she does tons of interviews with tiny house people, including the owner of the tumbleweed company. She also did a two hour long documentary about it. I am ALL OVER THIS! As soon as I heard about tiny houses I became obsessed and learned everything I could. I am all about simplicity. I'd love to have one and/or a teardrop trailer in the future Only issue is my kitty cats.

Glad you brought this up! If you watch the documentary it explains why we have the laws we do in place. Back in the day (sorry don't remember which decade it's been awhile since I've seen it) laws were passed making the minimum square feet for a house, with help of the developers knowing that it would increase their bottom line. Good for your business, bad for the tiny house people that now have to keep them on wheels since they don't meet regulation otherwise! I'm sure you probably know all this stuff already but maybe you can capitalize on it

I love the vid. It's how you use your house? I know families & CEO's that look for a Future in their area.

It's something I'm seriously considering once I'm no longer renting, at least as a way to travel across the country!

I think I have reverse claustrophobia (I am afraid of big spaces- especially big open spaces), so this is amazing.

Can you IMAGINE if cam girls could get massively fast satellite internet, and had one of these?! Fuck.

I didn't realize they were legit houses! I thought they were pimped out sheds or kiddie clubhouses. CUTE! I think I'd consider it. Even if it wasn't a main home it could be a side home for visitors or an office/work space away from the main house noise. Me likey.

I saw an online ad for these, sooo cute. Nice for a little starter, it doesn't say how much they cost?

My apartment is 750sqft. I'd love to have a house this size...but, it kind of all gets to be expensive doesn't it - roughly 30 grand goes to plans and building then I'm assuming you have to buy land? And thats (depending on where you live) 20 - 40k for a decent lot with a decent location. Yes? No? Might as well buy something already built up for 80-100k? Or am I just not picturing this right.
