Default Going to my first ever audition later this week.

I have 3 clubs I'd like to work at and 2 back-ups so I'm going to start going down my list.

My biggest worry is that dancers in Portland have a lot of dancing skills -- which I lack. I know I'm cute, upbeat, easygoing and would love this job. I'm just worried about being denied a spot due to lack of experience [my back-up clubs say no experience necessary so I have my fingers crossed]. I'm willing to take a pole dancing class to learn tricks upon being hired, so hopefully that will help me out.

Any advice? Good questions to ask? How can I sell myself to the club with no experience?

If they think you're hot, and not crazy they'll probably hire you (unless of course they do require experience, but I don't think that's very common). Every girl started somewhere! Don't worry about pole tricks or dancing, you'll pick that up along the way. The hardest part for you right now is getting over your nerves and just DOING it! Good luck!

Sofia Whiskers, confidence is the key! Even if you have no idea what your doing, go out there and make it look like you do! Never look uncomfortable. As long as you look nice and somewhat in shape you should do fine (: Which clubs in Portland are you looking at? I work in Oregon..not in Portland but near there.

Certain clubs are going to want "tattooed girls" and others are going to go for the more "glammed up look".

I have tattoos so I was looking for them to be accepted, but I ended up choosing a really friendly place and worked Friday 11-7. It was lots of fun.

I love Oregon. I wish Portland was a little less saturated with clubs, but I don't want to live anywhere else. =]

I made lots of dollars from my awesome smile~

There are a lot of new dancers in Portland, and most girls are very friendly about showing you the ropes. The nice thing about starting new is that you don't have any "bad" patterns yet, you can start from scratch and develop your skills. A little off topic, but I would also recommend to immediately getting into the habit of asking for dances-Portland is a very low-hustle environment compared to a lot of other states, and if I remember correctly you said you auditioned at Devil's Point, right? I have gone there numerous times and had girls walk off stage without bothering to ask for dances, and I had to actually hunt them down. More money for us. Sorry about the digression, have fun dancing!

Yeah I did my audition at Devil's Point yesterday, so I'm going to bother them about getting me on the schedule. Right now I work at Blush. We were way overbooked today and there were no customers. Only made $28 and blaaaah. I don't know how to deal with such a bad money day.

Yeah, Blush sucks...I would recommend Mystic, and I am currently checking out a few others as well. Message me if you like, I have worked pretty much everywhere in Portland if you want any info. Your wallets will be ours!
