    Default Stupid tanning question

forgive me for asking such a stupid question, but I just seriously don't know!
I started going tanning yesterday and am going to go back tomorrow and just need to know if I should bring something to cover my hair.
I have platinum/bleached blonde hair...will the tanning bed affect that at all??

I know I can ask tomorrow, just want to come in prepared though.
Sorry, I'm just a complete newbie to tanning! lol

Oh and just so you know, the salon we go to makes you wait a full 24hrs until you can tan again. So if you went at 2 pm yesterday you literally cannot tan again until 2pm today :/

^ Yes it dries the hell out of your hair. I always wrap a towel around mine.

I always turned the face lamps off if I could and then used bronzer at home. Saved my hair and no wrinkles.

I managed to tanning saloons with 60 beds in each store for 2 years.
No, it won't lighten or dry out your hair.
But it is a good time to put in a deep conditioner & let the heat from the bed help put shine & health back into your hair.

Start off slow, remember places that have NEVER seen the sun or have not in awhile can burn easily.
Make sure the body lotion you use daily doesn't have spf in it. LOL you wont tan.

In building a tan it isn't alway best to go every day, but try everyother day.

Be sure to sit on the bed for a bit, so that you don't get a major white tan lines where your ass meets your legs.

Use an UVB bed, you will get more color from it.

Look at the bulbs in the bed. 100 watts is beginners bed. If is less, then you are being ripped off.
Ask how often they replace the bulbs. If it is more than 1000 hours then you might as well lay under flourescents lights at Walmart for the amount of color you will get.

    Good Luck,
    Sam

Ultraviolet light can cause serious damage to your eyes and your body etc and it definitely fries already fragile bleached blonde hair. I've been tanning in beds for 15 years on and off and always cover my face and hair because just like being in real sun which can damage your hair beds are like laying spending a day at the beach in 15 minutes and I definitely noticed damage when I travel and don't have that towel handy to cover my hair.
