    Default Product rave! Curling wand.

    This thing kicks ass: http://www.amazon.com/Jose-Eber-Curl...e+eber+curling

I accidentally got the 19mm version (not the best since I have very long hair), but I'm already impressed. It's super humid and hot here right now, my hair hadn't been washed with shampoo for a few days (so it was fairly weighed down already), I had no product in my hair, and this curling wand created perfect waves that lasted a long ass time! I was running my hands through my hair, and the curls still stayed. The curls are a bit tighter than what I'd want ideally, but I can mess with them to make them relax a bit.

Lots of people who have fine hair that refuses to curl say that this product has allowed them to curl their hair. And it's for people who don't have that problem, too. It's a clipless curling wand, so you don't end up with crimp marks on your hair. Plus, you curl from the top down, so you aren't pulling the curls downwards as you curl (good for keeping body in your hair). Also, it's better for split ends since you curl your ends last.

(If you buy the wand, watch some other videos on how to hold it when you're doing your own hair)

Can anyone recommend some curling wands (without the clip and with a smooth barrel)? I prefer the thick barrel too.
I'm also interested in learning about what type of heat and ceramics etc I am a hair styling novice

I have one made by Amika and I love it. It is their "triple barrel pro curler set." It comes with 3 barrels, in different sizes. One for tight, medium and big curls. I have had a gazillion curling irons, but this is the only one I've ever had that really curls my stick straight hair. It's made from that tourmaline crap. No idea what the significance of that is. It doesn't have a clip--just comes with a heat proof glove so you can hold wrap your hair around the barrel without burning off your hand. I also like it b/c I have long hair and it makes it easy for me to start curling at the roots and just barely use the heat on my ends (so they don't get damaged). Def recommend this for gals with long hair!

    Co-sign about this curling wand.

The only downside for me is the learning curve to using them, and that it gets VERY hot. I currently have a big long burn line on my hand...

Don't you use the glove? If you don't have one, ID recommend buying one. They are cheap and making the process extremely easy!

I got one of the PYT clipless curling wands a mall kiosk the other night. I used it yesterday, and loved the result. I have very long hair thats all the way down to my butt, and it only took me about fifteen minutes to curl it.
I wanted the curls to not be too tight, so I would pull them down for a moment to loosen them up immediately after curling a section of my hair.
I had a very busy day yesterday, and they lasted the entire day!

Im a little wary of mall kiosks, but I'm glad I stopped at this one. (The Bulgarian girl working at this one looked exactly like me, and when she tried to stop me as I was walking by it kind of shocked me and I eventually ended up buying the wand lol)

Anyway, I rate the clipless curling want 9/10!! The only thing I wish was different would be that they made the wands with a larger sized barrel.

Question wouldn't it be the same thing as using a curling wand with a clip if you just didn't clip it? Like if you held the clip in the up position. I already have a clip wand and don't want to buy another.
