Thumbs up Suggest me some non-inflammatory exercise? :D ?

i hate the weird and cold sydney/au winter being the main reason why i never work out, but lately everytime i look in the mirror i realise im a fat fuck so uhh yeah time to sort of ease my way back into it.

also i hate running and gyms bore me. i usually prefer casual dance classes but theyre expensive and kinda far from me.....

any ideas or suggestions for types of exercise i could do thats not in the fucking cold or expensive and kinda half enjoyable?
am i reaching for the impossible here?

i think it'll be the "enjoyable" bit that gets you every time. best thing to do is to mix it up a bit, kettlebells, bodyweight exercises, interval training. OR if you have a bit of free time take up some additional hobbies that get you out and about burning energy, kayaking, climbing, cycling, lots to choose from really

With exercising at home I think if you have trouble concentrating on an exercise video play some YouTube clips or
Netflix videos that are unrelated to exercise and go at your own pace. So then you'll be entertained and exercising while not having to frustrate by following a workout video exactly. So you would be free forming it. YouTube.com maybe has some zumba dance videos if you're into that and don't mind following a video. I find that taking 5 min breaks can help so it does t feel like torture. I dislike working out at home but this is what works for me to get the workout done without it feeling like torture.

Yoga, detoxify, challenge yourself, and strengthen .

Pilates. Lengthens and tones everything while increasing stamina.

I take yoga classes a couple times a week to stay on point with my form, stay inspired, and challenge myself, then I do it at home a few times a week. I've taken pilates classes but can benefit from a good pilates dvd just as much

So I wasn't sure whether the tapeworm thing was a joke or the poster was being serious, but apparently there is actually a diet called the tapeworm diet, illegal in US and some other countries, where people actually DO EAT tapeworm eggs...yuck! lol It would work I guess, but it also takes out nutrients and stuff. I'm sure the post was meant in jest, but still very disturbing that some people would actually do that!

hahahaha. okay, sure. funny, i was an elite gymnast in my teens too...

the essence of yoga is about getting in touch with every cell in your body and raising your energy vibrations while gaining strength, coordination, and general mental & physical health.

yoga is challenging for everyone, of any age and fitness level and from all walks of life. and it's especially tough if you're lazy and out of shape (like you said you were) and closed minded to new experiences. yoga is what you make of it... you can just flop around on the mat and obviously you won't get a workout, but if you put some effort in the benefits are endless.

i wasn't kidding either, and i do believe you, i just honestly thought it was funny that you think yoga would be easy.

Pilates reformer its weighted and not easy at all... lots of gymnasts/dancers do it. But its kinda expensive. I think I pay around $60/fortnight. But it works better than anything else and its kinda nice cause your lying or sitting most the time My studio is in glebe but Im sure there are others around the city.

And I did regular pilates for years and I can tell you reformer is about a million times harder than regular pilates.

^for the first 3 months of Pilates reformer I seriously almost cried every class and I've worked out for years often doing 2 high impact aerobics classes in row! Nothing is like this. And it actually gets harder as you tone because you learn how to isolate better and get that awful quiver and shake faster. They make you do reps until basically your muscles refuse to do another one.

^ my place is a pilates, yoga and zumba studio so you are just a member and you go to as many classes as you want. They have early - mid morning, lunch and evening classes so tons of options but its not really a convenient location. Especially since when I got assaulted it was walking home from there so now I have to drive. But its supposed to move back to near broadway shopping centre and closer to central sometime this year. I hope!
