No. Anmiotic Fluid protects the fetus from all those things. I will all depend on how good or bad your pregnancy is; you may have lots of cramps, severe morning sickness, or nothing. You may start to show early or late. I showed up at the 5th week, but other girls I've known don't show up until passed the 20th week. I danced until my 9th week, then went on bed rest for almost a month, resume at the 13th week and stopped all together around the 14th week. I now do webcam modeling.

    Good luck on your pregnancy!

You should consult your obstetrician about your pregnancy, including any known risk factors and complications such as hypertension, gestational diabetes, multiples (twins), low lying placenta, previous miscarriages/abortions/deliveries/surgeries, medications, smoking history, abnormal uterine shape and the like. Stripping should not harm a typical fetus but could complicate an already risky pregnancy.

I quit dancing when I was 21 days along. The shoes are bad for the baby. The second hand smoke is bad for the baby. If I were you I would cam until after the child is born. Cam guys love pregnant chicks!

How did you know you were 3 weeks pregnant? Most pregnancy tests can't detect accurately until 5 days before your missed period, and even then it's not 100%. I've never heard of someone being confirmed pregnant at 3 weeks, a lot of women miscarry at that point and don't even realize it because it just looks like a normal period.

Platform high heels are not in any way "bad for the baby", where did you get that? Once you are in your late second to early third trimester your center of gravity can be thrown off by the weight of the fetus, but that usually doesn't happen until you are visibly pregnant. Just to clarify, there is nothing about walking in shoes (of any kind) that is bad for a fetus. However, as a pregnancy progresses pressure can be placed on the sciatic nerve which can cause shooting pains that radiate down the leg. The sciatic nerve could be irritated by the weight distribution (between toes and heel) caused by the platform heel. Before 12 weeks gestation many pregnancies end (spontaneous abortion/miscarriage) for no known reason. There are not many available measures to safeguard a pregnancy at that stage aside from smoking cessation, limiting alcohol consumption, eliminating use of illegal narcotics, eating a balanced diet, exercising regularly, and taking folic acid supplements. Conversely, you will find that many negative exposures in utero including illicit drug consumption, binge drinking, cigarette smoking, hard physical labor, slips/falls, and the like occur before the expectant mother discovers she is pregnant. Many of these pregnancies continue normally and the children mature through adulthood without incident.

Furthermore, a lot of states have banned smoking in strip clubs and most other places. With that being said, not all pregnant women would be exposed to secondhand smoke at work. IF she did work in a club that allowed smoking, then I would agree with you, but there are a myriad of clubs/states that do not allow indoor cigarette smoking.

With that being said, I hope no one believes that stripper shoes are bad for the developing zygote/embryo/fetus because that is just simply not true.

Exercise is good for any pregnancy, the music is not going to harm the baby in fact it might make your life easier to have loud noises around once the baby can hear. I played a lot of music when I was pregnant and my month old daughter can sleep threw anything, literally someone was using a nail gun in a store we were in less than five feet away from her and it didn't bother her. I would let the bartenders know to always serve you virgin drinks though so guys don't start asking why you can't drink.

When i was pregnant I danced into mid January and delivered in late April.. As long as you are cleared by your obstetrician I don't see any reason you shouldn't be able to dance. Remember to be honest with him about the level of physical activity you are participating in at work (I.e. pole tricks, frequency and duration of stages and so forth) so he/she can give you accurate feedback.

Exactly. Getting exercise is super important, a healthy you means a healthy baby.

Talk to your doctor about what is an appropriate level of physical activity, but don't worry too much. We're designed to keep functioning while pregnant- if we couldn't keep foraging for food to feed the growing baby, we'd kinda be effed.

One important thing to add for future reference: if you're going to dance pregnant, be aware your manager may not allow you to work due to liability issues. Strippers are also not covered under workplace discrimination, so theres nothing you can do about it.

I second the twenty two part; 22 is an alright age to have children, but I would also terminate a pregnancy if the father decides to not be part of the kid's life (regardless if we're a couple or not).

I danced until I was almost 8 months along last time. The only effect it had is my daughter LOVES music now. I'm one of those people that never show and my boss had no idea that I was as far along as I was so I actually worked over what their liability states.

Ummm quit until you aren't pregnant. Once you are conditioned to associate an environment with certain actions you will tend to keep repeating those actions if exposed to the same environment. So do yourself a favor and take a break. It will be easier all around.

I've always danced sober. I just don't drink, so I don't know what to tell you since I've always gotten in the mood and handled idiot customers sober and made money. I guess you'll have to just learn how to act drunk when you're not.

LOL yeah don't tell anyone much less your manager unless your club allows girls to dance pregnant already.
I have to laugh about worrying about liability issues. They won't cover you pregnant or not. So it's actually a non issue if you keep it to your self. There isn't a snowballs chance in hell you would be covered for any injury in a SC, No matter what is going on in your uterus. Liability is an excuse to make you leave if they know you are pregnant.
Many girls camouflage the belly for months when no one is the wiser. Conversely I've worked in clubs that have no problem with girls working pregnant as long as they want (rare, but it does happen )

I get anxious reading this thread. Be careful at work and mind what Mediocrity said, if a girl finds out that you are pregnant, she could rat you out to management. Also, beware, bartenders at my club seem to mean that asking for a nonalcoholic drink is the same thing as asking for a weak drink. So keep your head down, make money, don't drink and be safe.

If you usually drink to "get in the mood" maybe try reciting mantras before work. It has worked for me.

I think you should consider taking a few days or weeks to get your head straight and sort out your priorities/obligations. In the span of five days you have brought up getting pregnant, getting an abortion, camming, daddy leaving, suddenly marrying the daddy, and depending on alcohol to get through work.. it seems like you've got a lot going on right now and you could benefit from stepping back from the situation and looking at the bigger picture- you're bringing a child into this situation. You owe it to him/her.
