^ Do you guys use the rest of the Proactiv system or just the refining mask? If so, do you like it? My boss keeps trying to convince me to try Proactiv, lol. I'm just paranoid it will break me out. I just got over a really bad breakout, thanks to Philosophy.

When do you apply the WitchHazel? I have two bottles I got for free, but I only know of using it on bruises.
The chafing gel is called the Monistat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel. It has just as much (if not more) Dimethicone in it which is the main ingredient of primers like the Smashbox Photoready and BH Cosmetics Foundation Primer.

WitchHazel is basically a toner, I apply it after I remove my makeup at night and after I wash my face in the morning.

If you have red/fresh stretchmarks, do this:

wash with olay shea butter body ribbons wash/their shea bar/any other super moisturizing soap, ideally with cocoa butter or shea butter

EXFOLIATE in the shower using one of those scrubby gloves or sisal gloves if you are super hardcore

After showering/drying off, get some Palmers cocoa butter lotion. Don't get the fancy random stuff, just stick to the original bottle. Slather that shit on your stretchmarks.

Do this for 6 months. You're welcome

For dandruff: a lot of "dandruff" is actually irritation from sulphates. Before you break out the Head & Shoulders, get a sulphate free shampoo like Burts Bees or Giovanni and give it a try.

I tried the Proactive system years ago and it didn't do anything. the refining mask is the only thing I will use now.

i tried. it worked..ish. not worth the price. and i found out later it was the foundations i was using that were causing me to break out.
not only that, but people i know who use it, who say it works 'wonders' have to keep using it or they break out like it keeps everything doormat...
it's really hit or miss per person. but the refining mask is a dream come true for me where nothing worked on my scars <33

i buy the big tube thingy as overpriced as it is by itself.

if ur thinking about beauty from the inside out, do this. Drink a few drops of "oil of oregano" daily, also can be applied to face if you have acne (dilute it tho, in a carrier oil or with a little bit of water) Also have about 1-2 tablespoons of organic coconut oil a day, either in tea( i like most) or just straight. Ur skin will glow and ur body will thank you. Its a natural detox thats great for anyone.

And hey i have just tried that Monistat chafing gel for primer and I think i like it lol so far so good !!

Also eat a lot of plain yogurt which is perfect for us cam girls because it helps keep ur system clean.

Oh and contrast showers, i love these...it feels soo nice. If you dont know what i mean its basically have ur shower water hot/warm for a few mins then switch to as cold as u can possibly handle for about 1 min, then back to warm/hot. Do that about 3-5 times during ur shower and make sure u end with cold. Believe me it feels so good, makes u feel awake and energized. Its good for ur blood circulation and lymphatic circulation.

    hmmm what else??...

(awesome thread by the way, thanks ) !!

Streak of highlight (I use white eye shadow) down the middle of your nose will make it look thinner. I love this trick, I don't even blend it before I get on cam bc it doesn't show. I get 10x more complements when i use this trick.

I don't wear fake eye lashes , but I do use an eye shadow brush to apply a little white eye shadow to my lashes, before putting on black/brown mascara , it makes it cling better and also thickens my lashes to the max. Keep the tips coming ! I'm in love with this thread !

Lotion is the best for removing eyemakeup. I tent to try to use the basic non scented stuff, but one pump on a piece of TP and a quick wipe and it's all gone. I can see where an eye cream would be great for this, but I like to use the expensive stuff so I just buy St.Ives for makeup removal.

Ladies, I have suffered with horrible ingrown hairs at my bikini line FOREVER! Just last week I found a recipe online that finally works. 2/3 alcohol, 1/3 witch hazel and uncoated aspirin. So if you have a 6 oz. bottle...3.5 - 4 oz alcohol, 1.5 witch hazel, and 18 uncoated aspirin. Let it sit a few hours so most of the aspirin can dissolve, shake well before use and put it on several times a day. I can't tell you how long I've been looking for a remedy like this.

Homemade nose Strips, works like a charm
Take some unflavored gelatin and mix it with a little milk. Stir it up just to get it creamy and put it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. Let it cool down a little but dont let it get cool. Put it on your nose and forehead and chin and let it get hard and peel it off. It will clear all the blackheads in your skin.

Avocado and a little water and honey for a light face mask, leaves you feeling very refreshed!

Conditioner as a shaving cream. Haven't looked back at actual shaving cream products in years lol.

Vaseline or any thick moisturizing product (I currently use Ponds Cold Cream) around the edges of your face to prevent dark hair dye from staining your skin.

Honey and sugar, mixed together, as a lip scrub. Be gentle with this, of course.

Any sort of chafing gel works great for razor bumps, especially around the bikini area. Seriously, a godsend for me! (I also know a very good friend who borrowed my anti-razor bump product and used it as a chafing gel and apparently it worked wonders! Seem to be interchangeable lol)

I make my own body scrub with sugar, olive oil and whatever essential fragrance oil I might have around. (I actually found some colored sugar at Ross and have been using it to make my scrub pretty:-) And it hasn't caused break outs or allergic reactions from the dye.
