    Dizzy Spinny Pole Advice

So after coming out of semi-retirement I find myself at a club where the main stage has two spinny poles. It's been easily two years since I have been on one, the last few places I worked at had only static poles so I adapted. I have always missed the spinny pole but found myself last nite unable to do most of my normal pole tricks b/c the spinning was like woooooooooooooooooo! I think part of it is also having lost sm muscle tone in the three months I've not been dancing. Any advice on making the transition?

Just hold on and let the pole do the work
I would recommend to focus on tricks that are just holding a pose, and let the pole spin to make it look amazing. Do that until you get used to the spinning motion and you build a tolerance for dizziness.
I haven't quite mastered successfully doing inverted tricks in the 2 months I've been using a spinning pole- sorry I can't help you out there.
Chin Up, Tits Out- It's SHOWTIME!

on spinny poles, forget the spinning. climb up. get a good grip and position then spin. Don't ever 'hit' a spinny pole like you would a stationary.

Lol the first time I danced nobody told me it was a spinning pole and I had only ever seen static ones. Give it a week to get use to it and just remember don't throw yourself around the pole out of habit....and if you forget HOLD ON!! lol.

If you're spinning too fast, remember to lean out from the pole! Even a spinning climb into an upside down v will slow you down due to your legs slowing down the momentum! Personally, I love spinny poles! Just worked at a club last week with a super tall spinny pole and it was heaven! Shame that there was not very much money to be made there.

Spinny poles are awesome. I work at (afaik) the only club in the province with a spinny one, and guys are always like "WTF HOW IS SHE DOING THAT?"

Work on your grip strength. You don't really want to slide at all like you need to on a stationary.

If I ever travel to work in Edmonton, I know where my first stop is! In Montreal, there are none that I know of.
