I don't know about 60 vs 90 days but don't give those fuckers another penny, the new owner cannot collect on anything from before he takes the title, and the old owner is too screwed financially to come after u for anything.
I've heard of people putting one of those 'We Have Firearms' signs / decals on the door after a foreclosure notice, so the repo people don't just walk in and lock you out before the schedule allows.
If you put a sign that there are legal firearms in the house they have to bring the local police to evict you and so they don't do it early in that case.

I've heard situation that yes, you won't have to pay the rent during that transition period.
HOWEVER!
I have heard about situations that when the new owner's take over, they may want to move everyone out quickly and with as little trouble as possible. So, what they may do is offer you $5,000 cash to leave your apartment as soon as possible. If you take the cash, you move. If not, you can stay until the 60-90 days are up.
My suggestion, quietly ask them for $5,000 and leave.
