you may get more responses if you post this in camming connection - but many of the ladies who had interaction with her on SW seems to be gone -

Ugh now I am going to have nightmares about that train wreck :/

I heard she collected a lot of money and social security number and didn't deliver what ever it is she promised. I used to read her threads and roll my eyes. The people that fell for her bs were even funnier they hung on to her every word. I always thought she was a HE.
^I was angry how mean you were to her, but I got it now. I think we talked about it before. Probably lurking, too!!! Maybe she will tell us.![]()

Someone asked this question in otherwork and I'm reposting for them - What happened to Bambalina?

she got banned a while back... for obvious reasons, I think.

What reasons, if I may ask?

Yes a lot of us don't know why.

Bambalina (although I did like her) was constantly 'stirring the pot'. Just too much controversy and constant threads of cam girl unions, fuck mfc, fuck streamate, fuck big box camming, etc. etc. along with personal attacks. But like I said it's been a long time.. and I wish her well in whatever she's doing now.

Ok then I was way off because someone told me she collected money and social security numbers and didn't deliver whatever it was that was promised. Now I know that is false information. Thanks for clearing that up.

as far as I know she was talking about.. and possibly trying to.. get money together to start a 'collective' cam site. If she took money.. I don't know anything about it.. or anyone that has been victim to her.

Members come and go here frequently, due to the nature of the work and the nature of the personalities. Perhaps she decided she just wasn't into it and disappeared. In this case, yes, she was banned. We try not to air dirty laundry and we want to keep the environment here relevant to the topic at hand so we tend to delete offensive posts that caused points/infractions after we point the poster, so it's easy to not understand why she was banned. The bad things she said were deleted. Again, we don't air dirty laundry, I'll just say that she got a lot of, "Drama (arguing, insulting, baiting, etc)" and "Attempting to invade / disrupt / troll site". notices. Points take a year to disappear. They're there to warn you of your behavior and remind you to change. If you don't change, eventually you get too many points and you're banned.
I definitely think that asking what happened to Bamb. could have been handled in a more politic way than writing a thread in the open forum. When you saw that she was banned it probably would have been a better idea to write a moderator and ask what happened.

Hmmm I was reposting for this person. A member suggested that she post here so I posted the question for her. Sorry. I didn't really care to know what happened to her before the thread but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little curious after the thread was posted. That's all.

She was a very heated subject There were many points -temp bans- permant bans -long long rambling threads - some really helpful intelligent ladies left shortly after all of that - very sad - I think maybe the wound is still a little open on this subject. It was very ugly

I've never heard of points before. How do we know how many we have?

so it is better to keep that she allegedly stole/scammed from girls a secret? maybe putting it all in the open would prevent something like that from happening again.i had no idea that asking was SO taboo.

Disclaimer & Warning: male cam site director writing.
BambalinaShe was a mix between an hate troll and an anarchic socialist one. She was idealistically good faith but in practice caused so many flames with whoever disagreed with her opinionated posts. I wished good luck and tried to help her "collective cam site", but running real cam sites from so many years I knew it was unlikely to happen, for a couple of things: 1) cam girls will not support in fact she even been banned and 2) she required the usual $500,000 to advertise the first 3-4 months properly.
Still today 99% of cam girls sit in the same 4 or 5 cam sites that bambalina hated for various reasons (mfc for allow sex play in free, and streamate for pay 30% only), all these sites was there prior to 2004 (yes, mfc was there in 2004 already too), and no any site launched later getting any success and for sure being not as bambalina wished (pay big % + no free play + have so much traffic).
Bambalina was too much a troll to be handled in a forum but at same time without her I don't see any interesting topic anymore.
I also risked to be banned just because being a cam site, also after bambalina was banned was no more spicy and/or cam politics topics so I reduced my posting. Being not a cam model I not even have access to cam connection anyway, so I can't help much.

It looks like I'm in the minority on this, but I had a lot of respect for Bambalina. She had many intelligent posts that I think many cam girls benefitted from, but every time she tried to speak the truth, there were people on the forum who kept "challenging" her, and they just didn't wanna hear it. I never believed for a second that she was trying to troll the forum.
Cam Whore is another banned member I respected. I didn't get along with her at first, but that's in the past. I follow her on Twitter, and she's another one who had a lot of intelligent, inspiring posts on the forum (sometimes I even see some of her threads getting bumped back up).
*I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by mentioning CW (another banned member) in this thread. If I am, sorry, and feel free to edit my post. Thanks.*

I understand a main room need to be moderated, but rather than ban all those people who have opinions from the site, I would instead find more useful to add an unmoderated room, such as "unmoderated cam zoo", where people are warned they read and post at their risk. People banned from main room would still have access to the unmoderated one, so the controversial talk would continue in its own room, for the few who like such spicy stuff.
