Default Working Midshift and DJ tipouts

When you work midshift and the DJ changes in the middle, how do you do tipouts? My club wants $10 or 10% for the DJ (whichever is higher). Do I give them both this amount? Obviously I have more money at the end of the night. Do I tip the second DJ based on what I made the entire night or just since he was there? I would like to be able to take home some money! Thanks ladies.

Not to sound cheap, but when it comes to a midshift with 2 DJs I's rather pay the $10. Only if I'm working shift with 1 DJ only would I do the 10% since he is my support the whole shift.
Tipping... it's not just for cows anymore!

Like mia_fey, I'd probably just give $10 to each DJ. I might give a percentage if either of them went out of their way to do something for me though, but that percentage would be based on how much I made during the time they were there. That also gets complicated as I don't generally count my money until the end of the shift, so I'd still veer towards $10/DJ and a bit extra if they skipped me on stage or did me a favour.

I used to work at a club that had a mandatory tipout. It sucked... I'd say for a night that you make less than $100 (it happens to the best of us) tip him 10% so you'd be giving him less than $10. If you make more than $100 tip him $10. It would suck to make $500 & tip out $50 unless the dj really hooks you up!

Oh wait your club wants you to give the higher percentage of the two options? Wow they suck
