Default Illegal conduct by my co-worker?

I have been dancing off and on for about ten years now. I definitely do not hold the stripper mentality and I conduct myself very well while on the clock. However, on my last shift which was a boring and very slow Tuesday it got way more interesting because I was sitting with a much older gentleman known for spending lots of money. My co-worker who is known to be a skank and others would typically describe her as "ghetto wigger" decidedly to hop on top of him at our table while still in her street clothes and off the clock. I was so pissed I had to get up from the table to get away from her and spoke to my manager. She had told my manager she was just saying hello. I knew it was total crap and as she and the customer got up they walked over to the atm and he gave her quite a bit of cash (remember she is still off the clock at this point and still in street clothes with no garter on) and as she walks him through to the VIP room she tells the VIP floorman to clock her in. She does whatever with him back there and then clocks out immediately afterward. Still in her street clothes. I tell the manager to fire her and all they do is damage her 50 bucks for not working an entire 5 hour shift. I want to bring this to the attention of corporate as well as the couple that owns the two clubs where I live.

My question is....is there any legal action I can take against her? What other options do I have? What should the club be doing? What can they get fined for for her doing money exchange while not clocked in? Isn't that considered prostitution? She exchanged money for a sexual-type activity (dancing only I hope)....Also, she is known for stealing and falsely promising sexual activity in order to obtain large sums of money from customers and then acting surprised when they pull their johnson out. Managers haven't caught her yet, though.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My suggestion would be to let it slide this time but if happens again then take action. Was that her regular? Was she running late?
I def can see why you'd be mad, but why didn't you ask him for a dance earlier?

It's the third time it has happened. And I had just ordered a drink. I just sat down with him (in other words there wasn't enough time for "EARLIER") - he specifically requested me. She wasn't supposed to be coming in. I don't give a crap if it was her regular (even if he was - which he wasn't). You don't do that. You wait your turn. Plain and simple. I am sick of strippers...there need to be more entertainers in this industry. I am hustler - usually it wouldn't bother me because I don't have competition, I'll always tells customers/dancers "hey when you are done talking let me know" even if I have been sitting with them beforehand...BUT, I in no way will allow someone to literally usurp my dances with my customer.

That's annoying. It's not a legal issue and you certainly can't press charges against her or report this to the police. It's lame of her and lame of management, but, I mean, this isn't atypical behaviour or response for a strip club.

Next time she tries to pull something like this, don't just leave the customer. Tell her that you and the gentleman are busy and you'll be sure to send him her way once you're finished. Smile sweetly and don't use a bitchy tone.

sorry but that won't work. this isn't a typical dancer...anything anybody tells her to do is a no go.

Well if she's that big of an issue and management doesn't do anything to stop her antics (and, honestly, why would they if she's making them money via lots of VIP sales), then all you can do is avoid shifts with her or find a new club.

It sucks that not every girl follows the stripper codes and they have to be grimy and underhanded to make any money at all. It's what keeps these girls afloat since they can't make money any other way. And I would bet 100% that she did extras with him in the VIP. Girls like that always do. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do unless you beat her ass and use that as a warning to the other girls but you risk your own firing or worse arrest.

Definitely make her know your not cool with that though when she comes to the table. You have to say something to make her or the customer feel uncomfortable. That way he will shew her away if what you say to her doesn't work.

Since she likes her street clothes so much put yours on, wait for her outside in yours and fuck her ass up.

When I worked at my old club in Albuquerque and I was in my street clothes I would say hi to customers but nothing beyond that. I didn't ask for money or hustle them in any way. Now if I had one offer to buy dances and pay my house fee you bet your bottom dollar I'd check in. But to do that to someone in street clothes OTC? Not cool

So let me get this straight ...

You don't have competition, you are the best at your club
You are a hustler and an entertainer, you are above what you call the stripper mentality
Other strippers are skanks and you are better than them because you are classy and they are not
This chick promises sexual activity, may or may not deliver, and she "stole" your customer

Get over it and while you're at it get over yourself a little bit. You don't need to say that you have been in the business ten years it comes across just in how damn bitter you sound. Your manager has taken the course of action he feels is appropriate. Go ahead and complain to "corporate" since you say you are the best they have they might listen but this whole post seems absolutely ridiculous to me.

I am referring to competition as in far as dealing with skanks. I guess you took personal offense then...did I strike a chord with you little girl? if you don't have any constructive criticism to give then do yourself a favor and refrain from making any comments as you are only embarrassing yourself. It's obvious you are a stripper and not an entertainer....(chuckles)

It took alot for me not to. I have to handle this the right way. I have a family and can't afford to take unnecessary risks...I have to wait for an opportunity to arise for it to be self defense and not go assaulting anyone. ya know? But I LOLed at your comment.

Phoenyx. You're being needlessly rude and confrontational.

You do sound bitter, your elitist "I'm better than everyone, and everyone is beneath me" attitude is very abrasive.

I can understand that your co-workers behavior is frustrating. But I wouldn't insult Kat w, or anyone else for that matter, just because they don't share your particular sense of outrage.

I also want to say going to the police would be the worst thing you could do. Youre basically saying "hey cops what we do here is illegal but since she was wearing her street clothes she should be arrested and not us." if something is illegal it is no matter what. It doesn't matter if you're clocked in or not. Lol

    You would definitely be fired.

I agree. There are def some scandalous strippers at one of the clubs where I work. My regular came in and ordered a drink, saw me coming out of VIP and ordered one drink for me. I went to the back to apply perfume on and look pretty I come back and this "stripper" is sitting on my customers lap performing a sexual act with her hand outside his clothes and hes got this look like WTF GET OFF ME FATASS!!! I simply walked by them to talk to another customer and said," Hey NAME HERE! Let me go try to make some money over here and come back in a little bit." I got only one topless dance for the other customer and the "stripper" eventually got off my customer and left, without any money. IT HAPPENS!!!! people are gross

Listen, I do not have an elitist attitude. I DO NOT think that I am better than anybody (in general). I just don't appreciate scummy whores who can only get paid by being nasty and cock blocking. Everyone is equal (only on the level of being human and having the same opportunities/potential)...behavior and how you conduct yourself on the other hand is a whole other story. I am better than that, yes, and if you have a problem with that than I am sorry.

You do realize that you sound downright unhinged... right?

I mean, you are on STRIPPERWEB. You may want to reconsider using "stripper" as a pejorative term.

Have you considered getting the advice that you seek on EntertainerWeb instead?

Last summer, there was a club in Richmond Va that had tons of girls like that. I learned to deal with them by ignoring them and putting a better stage show than them.

regardless if she's skanky or not, you walked away and that's where you slipped up and basically let her know she could have the customer.

Sophia_Starina, thanks ... when "stripper" is used as an insult I'm not really sure where to go from there. I use stripper and entertainer synonymously because I entertain men ... by stripping. They don't shell out the $ for my super good jokes and anecdotes.

Also, OP, I did give you advice (get over the situation) you just didn't like my advice.
