BMI is bullshit. It doesn't take muscle weight into account and the scale gets really screwed up the taller you are. What matters is your waist measurement and your body fat % when it comes to weight.

I'm exactly 1 pound away from being normal weight. Currently underweight by 1 whole pound ooh nooooooooo lol . Also in the past when I was so much more athletic I had 40 extra lbs of hard muscle. Still I was in normal weight range but again 1 whole pound from being considered over weight. I did break one of the bones in my foot, for my slender frame couldn't handle so much weight. Actually it was a hair line fracture but I remember feeling worried that I was just too heavy for my own body to handle.

Sorry, stupid phone.... but their waist areas will be a lot more...how do I say it nicely... squishier than mine? I actually Google imaged my measurements the other day and a all of the results were women who were pretty hefty, lol. I just don't get it.

Let's put it this way... a 28 inch waist is great. How tall are you and what are your other measurements? And I'll bet your body fat % is 15 or less?

In my case I'm 5' 11 and 180 with a 33 waist and about 20% body fat. I'm not happy with that. Guys that are ripped might be under 10% body fat at my height with a 31 inch waist and weigh over 200. They would be considered overweight and that would be wrong.

^ohh I see why it is determined by body fat then! That scenario you described is exactly what I was confused about! Lol
I'm 5' 7 maybe 115 right now and 36(all back muscle!)-28-32 so it sounds like it is an apple shape but it isn't in my case, lol.
