Question SWEATING , i know im not the only one

I know ewww gross w/e but i know i cant be the only one who sweats while dancing not typically on stage but during laps song after song ( or maybe im dancing too hard/fast?) & mind you i am one of those types that is consistently cold ( im anemic )

Im not asking about smells here I know about being able to freshen up b/w sets & dances using sprays , wipes , etc etc but im just curious as to various techniques you ladies are using to stay fresh on the floor ?

***Also note , sweat only smells due to the perspiration contacting with the bacteria on the skin so again im not asking about covering up smells or anything i.e body odors but yet the appearance of the "wetness "*winces*

in my experience guys usually seem to kinda like it, lol. so i don't worry about it too much (if there's no b.o. smell, now THATS worrisome). i pat myself with paper towel in the dressing room when i go back to freshen up (not recommended if you work in a blacklight heavy club), and on the floor i sit with elbows pointed outwards a bit so air can circulate under my arms.

lol at the elbows outwards, i've been known to do that at times, too. I have a huge sweating problem, too both on stage and during dances and I find it turns customers off. It's also embarrassing cause we collect tips after stage down here and, for example, last night I was sweaty and felt like a dolphin so guys were kinda grossed out.. One thing that I noticed makes a difference is don't wear lotion! (should be a given unless your skin is really dry) but I had lotion on earlier yesterday and I guess cause it's so thick not all of it came off in the shower I took before work.

I'd bought a cute little folding fan. I used it and it helped, and you can always play around with it a bit hehe

It has happened many times for me. Maybe because I would drink a lot of red bull. Make sure you take Carr of your anemia problem by taking iron supplements and a multivitamin and b multivitamin. Anemia messes up your ability to think clearly and sometimes you can get hair loss from it. If you have armpit excess swearing I have heard of Botox injections used for people with excess sweating.

This is interesting..... I am also anemic. My blood work came back a few months ago, if I remember correctly my hemoglobin was 10 or 11, and my doctor told me it was no big deal, to just take an iron supplement OTC.

I have also noticed, more recently, that I have been sweating excessively. Like, EXCESSIVELY! I love how you described it as a dolphin, that's exactly how I feel! Especially now working out, I am drenched, like I just got out of the shower, to the point that people have commented on it. I started taking Trazadone to help me sleep, but not everyday, and I'm wondering if that's exacerbating the problem.

Do anemics typically sweat more? Is it bad to sweat more? Do I need to be drinking more water, or electrolytes? What does excessive sweating indicate?

I am also anemic and I recently noticed I sweat a ton especially on my face around my hairline and lowerback. I don't have an issue with smell either its just excessive wetness in areas other than my underarms. I also feel warm most of the time, except for my feet and hands which are always cold. I never thought the sweating was associated with anemia but I'll look it up.

Definitely is a good idea to drink more plain water if you sweat more. Also maybe consider some salt because sweating creates salt loss because there is salt in your sweat. Also there are other electrolytes lost in sweat ( forget what they are.. Potassium, calcium magnesium?). Maybe check if you're low in them at the doc when doc does general blood work ask to have your electrolytes checked.
Maybe anemics can have others things out of whack because of it? The topic defintely could use a google search. I wonder if some energy pills can cause excessive sweatig and if you take any energy pills or energy drinks try skipping them for a day or two and see if it has any impact on the sweating
