    Default Hair question?

    • Hey ladies, hoping someone can help me out. I have naturally dark brown hair that's been bleached/highlighted/the whole nine yards. I'm going out of town and need to get my roots touched up, I was thinking of going to a salon while I'm away just for a change. My question is, will I be screwing my hair? I know my hair dresser keeps client cards, is this information really imperative?

If you pick a good salon then I don't see it being a problem. I've gone to strangers before and most of them didn't jack up my hair. That's only happened twice.

I personally love Veda salons. The hairdressers all have had similar training and use the same products, so I'm always fairly confident of the results.

Just get a general idea of what your stylist uses but normally they won't give you the formula for it. And if you explain all you've done to your hair and normally do in the consultation they should know where to go from there.

Most stylists can guess what color to use in order to achieve your color now from your roots. Always do a consultation first, ask them what color they are using. Ive done a lot of reading on what color/tone I need from my orginal hair color to achieve a lighter ash tone, so If I feel another stylists isnt using the right shade/tone and color I ask them, if they dont seem confident, I leave. Always ask questions, dont be afaird! At least its only roots and not the whole head either.
