Default New to Waitressing! What to wear, say, etc!?

Hey there! This is my first post on the forum, so please excuse me if this has already been asked. I tried to search "waitress" and I couldn't find anything.

Anyway: I'm going to call my local strip club this week to see if they are hiring servers. I have no idea what to expect, and I'm pretty nervous. Honestly, I'm hoping to start dancing, but I'd much rather get my foot in the door by serving to see what the strip club is like and how the girls dance - I'm a notoriously bad dancer. At clubs, I do the robot. I've been told that managers end up hounding servers to think about dancing anyway, so I'm actually looking forward to that push.

So! I'd just really, REALLY love some feedback on what to expect. On an interview to be a server at a strip club, what should I wear? I really don't want to go in wearing slacks and an Express button-down; I feel like that would look way too stuffy or conservative. That being said, I do want to look professional and serious. But I don't know what the managers are expecting. Are dark skinny jeans and sandal wedges okay? I have no idea what to wear for a top. Just a deep, white V-neck or simple frilly thing? I gotta keep in mind it's been 90 degrees here all week. I was also going to wear my hair in a pony tail - I have Zooey Deschanel bangs, but I think my hair looks "cutest" pulled back. That's the other thing - I'm more "cute" than "sexy". Blonde wavy hair with bangs, and a fair complexion. Size A boobies. Should I just roll with that or try to cake on some eye make-up and be a little bit of both?

What kind of questions are they going to ask me at the interview? Anything in particular they'll want to hear?

And, in a nutshell, what's waitressing at a strip club like?

I'm just overly nervous for this simple step, so really, any help would be SO SO SO appreciated.

I think jeans, heels and a cute top would be perfect.
and go in looking cute. I wouldn't try to to sex it up, just go in and be your cute self.

I'm sure they'll ask if you like people....if you're comfortable working around nudity, if you can stand on your feet for long periods of time.

I've been a waitress/shot girl in a club before and I actually like that better than dancing!
(but I guess that can vary from club to club)
Steady paycheck, decent tips, get to keep your clothes on lol

When you do start, just be prepared for the guys to constantly ask "sooo, how much to get YOU to dance"...guys always want what they can't have.

    Good luck with everything!

I will give you a line that worked *almost* every time for me. When a custie is sittin with some dancers just ask him "Would you like to buy your ladies a drink" or something along those lines. Makes em look like a real jerk if they say no. Most of the time they would buy all the girls a drink, and the dancers always appreciated it as well. I had good experiences with the dancers, they looked out for me, I looked out for them. It's a good way to get your foot in the door.
