    Default Tipping

I am new to these threads but by no means new to strip clubbing. I usually tip based on how much the dance is worth plus performance. Usually my tips for lap dances range between 5 to 15 dollars and for VIP usually 50 to 100 dollars.

My question is are these generally acceptable tipping ranges? Also does a dancer get upset if I tip less than what she thinks she deserves?

Tipping is tipping. It is optional and generally not expected. IMO, it should be reserved for situations where a fave of yours gives exceptional service or happens to be in need of extra money for one reason or another. Obviously, it is your prerogative to do as you choose but randomly tipping any and every girl you interact with is unnecessary.

My ATF expressly told me NOT to tip her! I spend around $200 a visit on her, a few times a month so it's good money but I assume nothing special compared to some of her other regulars; she's one of the club's top girls. I would tip her $10-20 depending, when we started out. Usually the change I'd have coming back. When she became my regular, she told me not to tip. She would refuse to keep the change! She asked how much I could spend when I see her and I said 'what I always do, around $200'. And she said okay, I'll be sure to keep you in budget. I get FAR more attention from her than before, and even a few low level extras which in this club just doesn't happen, at least never to me and I'm a veteran there. Obviously she's an exception to the usual dancer mentality to grab all the money you can every time, but she knows how to keep me and this is just one way she does it. Smart girl!

Having a lot of dough must be pretty nice is all I gotta say. I mean, $5-15 dances are something i've never heard of outside of a few clubs that specifically have special nights, just opened, or if they have a policy of $10.00 on the floor dances like Pandora's in Dallas does. Really $50-$100 seems crazy for just a dance, now if you are getting extras on her exclusive menu then I might say SURE that's cool! It isn't for me to say what you spend on a girl back there, but all I have to say is by the time the club takes me for every penny I have almost just to park, walk into the door, and a few extra bucks for the CR, Cabana or VIP, I am not sure I want to spend all the rest on even 3 minutes of heaven unless heaven is a lot more intense.

Again, I've made it clear on here I am a "The most bang for my buck" kind of customer at clubs anyway. It is relative, if I were a millionaire+ I would probably make a point of making it rain $20s right on the main stage for an ATF, it is just based on what the market can bare I suppose.

Acceptable tipping range here in Dallas is pretty much $20 per dance unless you go to specific clubs which verbally tell you $30.00-$35.00 (usually the women in these high roller clubs make the dances WELL worth it. ). The rules don't change when you get a stamp or bracelet for the VIP, you just keep paying the same amount.

I would guess different areas have different prices. In San Francisco, Lapdances must be like $4000.00 a song with the cost of living out there

I think you've misunderstood Aries2525's post. He literally means a tip on top of the lap dance price, it sounds like you're talking about the actual price of a dance. I'm actually in the San Francisco area, and I suppose the prices are higher than elsewhere, but I guess thats what will work here. Its not quite $4000 either, and I think its typical of large markets. 20/60/100 for 1/2/3 dances is normal.

Regarding actual tipping, the numbers from Aries2525 is in line with what I do. Not enough to be memorable either good or bad, just a small token of appreciation. A majority of guys I've talked to don't tip or even realize it happens.

Not sure how I knew I would get a reply taking my exaggeration literally. I really have to watch my obvious sarcasm but I figured with such an obnoxiously large number it simply had to be implied whether vocal tones could be observed or not.

That's interesting though, I would agree when you said:

Sounds a bit like trying to get a one up on the other competition in the club to me, but hey I would do the exact same thing if money wasn't an object.

My favorite spot is a rather low key, woman-next-door kind of place. Not a big bucks, glam place populated with hot but egotistical dancers.

It's interesting that often a new (to me) girl will be almost surprised when I tip in the back room, but if she's treated me well, it's only fair to treat her well too (besides the money goes into her pocket--well wherever she keeps it--, not the club's). It certainly seems to make me more popular when I walk in next time. It's also interesting, these ladies seem to remember, despite all the customers, how they made me happy to tip them last time.

    Agree with the 1st part.

Disagree with the 2nd. The dancer's financial needs, even if she is a fave of mine (of which I have many), is not my problem. Often their "need for extra money" is their own doing - frivolous spending, poor budgeting, slacking on work hours and ethic, etc. Why should I enable such behavior?

No disagreement here. I was just thinking of reasons over time that I gave more money than the girl asked for or expected. It was certainly not a common practice of mine and generally was to help a girl make tip out or because I knew she had obligations away from work. None of these girls were strictly dancers to me either. I operated in a very small circle of girls in one particular club and did a lot of favors for some of them, occasionally financial ones.
