I have been using the requisite "purple" shampoo my stylist gave me. I bought the JF Go blonder shampoo & conditioner tonight. Anyone have any positive or negative reviews? Thanks :-)

I didn't notice a difference when I used it. Can't remember the brand of the one I'm using now but it is so much better.

I didn't love that one either - my favorites are Paul Mitchell Platinum Blonde and Joico's Purple Shampoo (forget the name sorry!). Shimmerlights works great for toning but the scent was just a bit too heavy for me personally.

If your toning just put a dab of purple dye into your favorite conditioner.

i use it once a week (alternating between my regular shampoo) and it does make my hair noticeably lighter for a few days . i'm naturally blonde though, so that may be the difference.

I've used it also and I haven't noticed much of a difference, it doesn't work as well as others.

I used to get a Matrix blonder conditioner that came in a metal tube and then they quit carrying it in my area - maybe this is replaced it - I loved that stuff

I use that violet shampoo the some other ladies mentioned about once a week and that seems to work pretty well for me but somehow I still end up with a bit of a golden tone about 4 weeks after a die.

Aveda has a blue that is great to use for toning blonde hair. Not to be used every time you wash your hair. I have heard that it is really drying but gets the job done.
