for me, i can ALWAYS find any excuse to not work. the only thing that works is slapping myself in the face and just going. hopefully i have a good night and will come outta my funk...otherwise just start over again the next day!..sometimes i realize im just very hard on myself and how much i make, so i just tell myself to go, and dont worry about money, once im there and in the groove i am ok.

I tell myself it's like jumping in a pool from the high dive. The anticipation is worse then the actual experience. And I give myself little outs, like, "If it sucks I can just go home early." Or promise myself that I'm allowed to take breaks and play solitaire on my phone or something. I also try to remind myself of the financial goals that I'm not meeting by not working, or of things I won't be able to do or buy, like vacations or really nice presents for my loved one's birthdays and the holidays. And sometimes, when nothing else is working, I go to a totally new club for a bit because I can go in with a clean slate and be distracted from my anxiety by the newness of everything.
the harder you try to get yourself in work mode, the worst you will feel, the stress will make you tired and the higher your anxiety will be. the best think to do, IMO is live in the moment and make a conscience choice to not over think.
i know how you feel and i find that making a conscience decision to control your thoughts really helps for me.

Only work somewhere you are happy to be apart of. Not stressed because stressing out won't help your mood which in turn won't help your money. Best to be somewhere you can think about and feel positive about it.![]()

I find this to be really true. When I was getting really burnt out I seriously had to watch The Secret every night as I got ready. I would feel so much pressure and operate on high anxiety while at work.
Things that help:
1. Have a goal you are saving for that your are determined to get.
2. Know how to calm your nerves. For me it is hugging people. If I hug someone who I like be it another dancer, a custy who is a gentleman, or even a make-up artist my anxiety goes away. In the SC envirement it so easy to give someone a big old hug without seeming like a weirdo!!
3. Look for ways you can lower general anxiety. Perhaps start a regular meditation or jogging schedule. Both of these methods are proven at lowering all types of anxiety that happen throughout the day.
4. Have a large stash of savings in the bank. Nothing takes the pressure off like when you know you don't *need* to be the top earner every night.

Pick the one club where you're going to make the most money.
Be happy that you get to choose between two clubs!
Maybe go into it as if you're just going out for a night out on the town- it takes some pressure off of things.

Hugs, I'm going through the same thing. I'm pretty burnt out on dancing right now and I have two things that I'm currently doing that have gotten me to actually get into work the past week or so.
1. I'm a big coffee fan so I have a small cup with skim and Splenda in the morning and then if I go into work I stop at the Starbucks by my club and treat myself to a skinny carmel macchiato with an extra shot of espresso. No work = no special coffee. I focus on enjoying it and I visualize caffeine waking up my body. I know this is lame but it's what works for me, visualization and shit like that.
2. I keep a David Sedaris audiobook in my car and after work, it is my reward. Seriously after 5 hours of loud music and smoke and talking to morons, I drive home in my nice quiet car and listen to David Sedaris' nice non-threatening voice as he narrates a short story that is usually twisted and funny.
If I focus on these two rituals I seem to make it through the night better. If burnout is really kicking my ass, I eat a peach or a kiwi in the dressing room halfway through my shift. Good luck, sorry if I seem crazy but I empathize with the anxiety, it is REALLY brutal sometimes and lots of people don't get it.

I completely completely understand..When I was in Vegas and had to do lapdances which I am not accustomed to do I felt this way..I worked in a small bar with less girls on the shift I chose for less competition..Yet after a few months I DREADED going in..Just didnt like to put myself out there to ask for lapdances..The house fees were low so even on a bad day id still walk away with nearly 100...But I didnt earn a whole lot on that shift yet I kept bc there was very little competition...So when I came home it was so much lower of a hustle which eased my life quite a bit...Maybe u could try working elsewhere where theres less girls and were its more laid back? I know all about the too many girls issues..Thats why I never worked at Sapphire, Cheetahs, or Crazy Horse 2..Way too any girls walking around with no customers and I knew with my lower hustle skills I wouldnt last there realistically bc Im not a very overly in ur face kind of dancer..Especially not with lapdances..
