    Default Eye strain solutions?

So i've been camming for about a week now, but have only gone on cam a handful of times. My eyes are KILLING me after a couple of hours on cam, which i didn't expect because i spend a ridiculous amount of time online anyway, and i don't feel like i'm staring at a screen any more than usual. Then they start watering, and then i can't see the screen very well and start making stupid faces on cam. I'm def wearing more make-up than usual because my lights are so bright and my webcam so crappy....so i can't even rub my eyes when they start a-burnin'. What do you guys do to help with the eyestrain? Are there any particularly good eyedrops for it? Or do you just get used to it? Are there settings on my monitor i can tweak to make things easier on my eyes? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

I'm in front of my computer at minimum 12 hours a day, so I feel you

1st step, lower the brightness of your comp screen

2nd step, enlarge the print/font on your screen (from the browser or in appearance settings)

Make sure the make-up you're wearing doesn't contribute to your eye irritation (experiment a bit and see if your eyes feel better when you omit a specific product or application techinque) and try take periodic breaks away from your computer. Unless you have bad allergies, some fresh air is a must.

Pick up some eyedrops if you think it'll help, but the above are what keep me from gouging my eyes out after a long day/night

    good luck! :-)

I do exactly the same thing and it's enaugh. I have eyedrops but I rarely use them now. Before I used eyedrops more often, but they didn't help much. Oh my god I always looked like I was on drugs. Then once my cat sat on my keyboard and pressed the CTRL while I was scrolling upwards with the mouse. And what a miracle it zoomed in the whole window I was looking at. So now I just zoom in everything and it's so comfortable. Sometimes I feel like I was my own granny, but my eyes love it.
