    Default Ideas for Plum recipes?

I have a plum tree that is literally dripping in dark purple ripe plums. I'd like to use some of them up, but I've never really been much of a plum eater. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do with these babies? Recipes? I'm seeing a few online but they're all sort of meh.

Here's a pic of my tree:

    Chutney (plum, pineapple, and habanero?)
    Plum Pudding
Pit them and dry them = Prunes
    Plum Jelly
Take a basket to the homeless shelter or old folks home.

Ripe plum+ potting soil+ miracle grow+ paper bag+ shovel = future plum trees in the darndest spots.

This is going to sound kind of weird, but my SO is a great cook and he made me a soup this past winter with plum in it. I remember giving him a wtf? look when I saw him slicing up a plum in addition to everything else, but it was great. He just kind of tosses things in so I don't have measurements, but it had noodles, chopped mushrooms, chopped bell pepper, garlic powder, a little bit of cilantro, and a plum or two.

Ferment them. Then put them through a still. Goodbye liver.

I don't have the recipe but I've seen a very good peach & plum pie.

I know a few people who live on Cape Cod who have plums in abundance and when they have the time they will make plum preserves/jellys. They taste AMAZING on baguette with a bit of butter. I'm sure there are good recipes of allrecipes.com.

Use plum preserves to make plum and brie bites:

(They're great for hors d' oeuvres.)

Or what about a spiced plum compote?

(You could serve it with warm brie.)
