    Thumbs up Swimming

so i thought it would be a smart idea to spill boiling water all over my foot when brewing tea (it wasnt), which put a fork in my Running training that ive been working hard at. So, since my job involves running a campsite on a beach on the Aegean Sea, I decided to swim laps for the hell of it.

I actually really like it a lot. I remember HATING swimming laps as a kid (my mom tried to have me swim competively for a bit, did not go well. but at least i did learn good form for all the strokes) so i thought i would ahte it now, but i actually really like it a lot. and since i am already in good shape (endurance wise) from running and pedicabbing, i did not get tired. I swam about an hr free style today and then did 20 minutes breast stroke. Over the weekend i am guessing i swam about 45 minutes freestyle in the sea, although i did not have a watch so who knows. Its nice to work my arms again, which really have no been used since i stopped dancing. and trying to convince myself that i want to do pushups is a losing battle.

Does anyone else on here swim for excersise? when my foot heals im going to return to running but i htink i am going to also try to improve my swimming. The goggles i have now are shit for keeping water out of my eyes. Im going to buy a new pair (any tips on how to get ones that fit would also be appreciated). Hopefully I can get some sweet ass biceps by the end of summer!
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

I swim. I compete in running and triathlon events. Even when I am just training for running I still swim. You will get big triceps, but not biceps. Try to also do some intervals. Maybe look up some swim workouts online for fun. I love the speedo vanquishers http://www.amazon.com/Vanquisher-Plu...rs+goggles+red
Those are the ones I have right now. They are mirrored red and I love them:-)
They come with 3 nose pieces, so you can make sure you get the right fit. The other trick is to not wear your goggles too tight. When they are to tight they tend to leak.
If you are buying googles at a store and they don't have the vanquishers, take the googles out of the package and put them on your eye sockets to see how they cover.

I LOVE swimming! It is a little harsh on my skin, but as long as i rinse off the chlorine and use lotion, its fine. Swimming is great for me cuz I have asthma and it strengthens your core and your lungs...plus, it's fun and sensual!
