Default Going to audition for the first time soon, a few questions

Hi! First of all, SW has been such a great resource. I think over the past two weeks, I've read almost every thread from today to like, 2005. I wanted to audition at a Spearmint Rhino and I have a few questions I couldn't find answers for anyplace else.

I'm trying to think of a name and so far I've come up with Angelica, Bliss, or Aurora. Do any of those sound terrible? For reference, I'm slender, get mistaken for a teenager constantly, have long blonde hair, overall a really innocent-sweet, girl next door look.

Also, is it in poor taste to dance in a swimsuit? Does your costume have to be special dancer wear? I have a black string bikini that's really flattering. I'm just really nervous about doing something ridiculous/bad/embarrassing and then EVERYONE WILL LAUGH AT ME. Because people totally do that. But yeah, I am one of those people who has to meticulously plan everything and gets freaked out about loose ends and tiny details, so the mystery of the audition process is kind of driving me crazy.

And finally, my hair. Would it be trashy to just blow it out and wear it straight and simple? That's what I normally do with it and I'm not sure how else to style it.

    Thanks ladies!

SR Las Vegas? Keep in mind ALL of those names will be taken. When I worked there in 2009, they had SEVEN THOUSAND GIRLS on their roster.

    Other questions:

Don't dance in a bathing suit, get a short dress or a real outfit. You won't stand out in a black bikini.
Lots of girls wear their hair straight.

Having fallen head over heels in love with your you are now counting down the days, weeks and months until you get to wear your dream . It is only when you go to put it on, probably at your bridal fitting that you may realise that you don't actually know how to get into, or how to get out of your wedding dress. It is a good idea to have someone who will be with you when you are getting ready for your wedding to accompany you to a fitting so the assistant can show you and them how the works.

Seconded, unless you have nothing better to wear and it's an outfit that really does make you feel sexiest. I'm a firm believer in not buying new stuff just for an audition before you've even tried out stripping.

Would I be better off just wearing a pretty bra and a coordinating thong? The only reason I was leaning towards the bikini was because it's easier to take off, and it's a full nude club.

Definitely NOT the SR Las Vegas! That place does not sound like a good place for a newbie.

Yeah, I was worried that all black would be kind of boring. Umm, what is a "real outfit" anyway? From what I've seen on YouTube and even when I went to check out the club itself, it looked like the dancers had on normal lingerie. Unless I'm missing something?

I'd say go for the black bikini! You want to feel comfortable, sexy and not have to worry about the "taking it off part" and it sounds like your bikini does all these things for u! You dont really need anything special for an audition unless it's a really upscale club. Typical "stripper" bikini's are usually made of a little less fabric especially in the buttockal (that's totally a legit word) region, but honestly the difference is negligible for an audition (IMHO). I didn't have real stripper gear for atleast a few weeks after I started and to be honest it's made no major difference in my earnings.

    Good luck!

My opinion on the stripper name question is that it may be easiest to keep it to two syllables. Guys are dumb, especially when they are around beautiful women. I'm Khaleesi and nobody remembers my damn name unless they are GoT fans.

And my vote goes to yes on your bikini. If you had a potato sack but it made you feel sexy dancing in it and removing it, id say the same thing. The manager(s) will understand you're new and don't expect you to buy an outfit. They're looking at your body, moves, and attitude.
