Has anyone tried it and how was it?
My options are
1) not show my face or
2) show face but fully clothed and i guess i can only chat or
3) wear a mask of some sort
which one is least dumb?

I wouldn't call any of them dumb. Everyone has different comfort levels. This topic often comes up, so I suggest searching "non-nude" or "non-nude camming" to find some similar threads where this has been answered before.
I say, do whichever makes you feel most comfortable. I've heard of people doing all three.
2) will most likely bring you the most $.
I've done all 3.
I agree 2) You make the most money that way.
i'm surprised at 2) being the most profitable! that's good news.. it's the one I prefer the most as well. i'm thinking of signing up to Myfreecams tonight, so excited hehe

1) u will get room full of rude people saying shit like "nice body but im not tipping if i cant see her face"
2) u will get some tips if ur personality is nice but it wont be much.
3) same as number 1 ppl will be rude as fuck and they wont tip u and will just say "ill tip if u take the mask off" if u r ok with hearing that 1000000 times a day go ahead.

You could do non-nude on MFC, then sign up for other sites with a different name/persona and on those sites do nude but keep a mask on or keep face off cam.
i think there's a hot flirt or something where u have to be clothed? it's on a thread somewhere, i think the title was can i make money non nude or something similar
check your site rules though cuz I know on cams.com you have to have your face showing unless your in private, i've gotten warnings for not having my face visible for my entire shift
reason is because i don't want anyone to find out, especially my work colleagues
I enjoy camming with sexy lingire on , however most of the time I love being naked on cam ! I think I make the most money by being naked on cam ! It all depends on what kind of mood you are in, you will make that money as long as you are having fun ..![]()
you could have 3 "social experiment" profiles on different sites. Each site has different cultures, etc so that is the drawback on making this a valid evaluation (like no site can be a reliable control against the other), but try out each persona on each site and then do an analysis after a few weeks?
It can be an analysis of finances, comfort. customer response, etc?
Then go full speed ahead with the one you feel the best about, close the other accounts and re-open new ones with the persona you like the best?
Can be fun to see what happens.
Not to be a downer but if you cam on a big site like MFC (even doing non nude- fully dressed) you will eventually be found out.
So in your situation I think your only choice would be to not ever show your face on cam so no one would ever be able to ID you. your earning will be less but it would be the only way to ensure youd never be exposed.
The thing is, even if you are non-nude on a site where other people are doing nude live sex shows and you get found out there is still a possibility that you can lose your job. It all depends why it is you are not wanting to be found out.
Sorry to give such a vague answer but it was a vague question.![]()

Totally agree. Just being employed on a camsite will bring the stigma. Even though you aren't getting naked, you're still guilty by association.
I was fired from a management position at a vanilla job when they found out I had interviewed for a behind-the-scenes type job at a porn studio.
Not getting naked is not necessarily going to keep you any safer from judgement.
In no way am I suggesting that you do anything you are uncomfortable with. I'm just pointing out that being associated with adult work, even if you're non-nude can have ramifications. And if someone were to find out, good luck convincing them that all you do is talk fully clothed on cam while everyone else on the site diddles themselves---if you even get a chance to explain yourself before you're shown the door.

well i've considered everyone's posts and i'm not sure i should continue with my MFC registration.
actually i have a funny/stupid story to tell as well. i emailed the human resources department of my company pretending to a potential applicant, but explaining that i was doing some evening work as a nude webcam model.. i asked them whether this would harm my chances of getting a job at the company and if i didn't disclose it but was later found out, would i be dismissed etc etc. the STUPID IDIOTIC thing i did was using an old email account to send this email, and i hadn't realised my real name was on the account. so i had to send a second email quickly explaining i was just being curious, hadn't done anything of the sort!! the next morning HR asked to see me face to face, and although the lady was sympathetic, she explained that i couldn't do any other paid or non paid work without the written consent of my manager, and also if i embarrassed the company in any way i could be fired. she also asked me why i had decided to send them the email, was it because i was being blackmailed etc.
i was so horrified at the time but now i can see the funny side of it. i don't see why it's anyone's business what people do in their spare time. but anyways i might just forget about camming at least for now and use my new webcam to make youtube videos (fully clothed!!)![]()
I am in Canada, so I have no idea what kind of services are in your area -- but check out your local 'working center', if you have one. They usually have access to legal aid and such there. Personally, I'd figure out what my rights were and if they were in my favour then I'd cam my ass off and look forward to all the money I was about to receive from my future 'wrongful dismissal' suit.![]()

Have you considered making fetish clips? I make fetish clips for Clips4sale, most of them fully clothed and very non sexual stuff (eating, hiccups etc).

I thought no moonlighting policies usually meant no outside paid employment or consulting - usually for mid-career, highly skilled, and/or technical jobs... it doesnt usually include volunteer work, right? So the unpaid work part is odd.
Usually moonlighting policies say that if you need to take on a second job you have to clear it with HR --- but if you live in a jurisdiction that has at-will hire/fire policies or worse a morality clause... itd be best to not even risk doing PG-cam sessions at all unless you can hire Gloria Allred http://employmentdiscrimination.foxr...iscrimination/
If youre working somewhere that pays well or competitively for your career, a no moonlighting policy makes sense. If youre working somewhere that doesnt pay well or beneath your career's average salary - definitely re-evaluate your options? Not saying quit, job security is important, just echoing justanothercamgirl by saying look at your whole playing field?
I just chat with clothes on, and I make a fair amount. I dont think I would do any better naked so thats why Im not!

Bunny do you by any chance have an innocent girl next door youngish kind of look? The reason why I ask is I really haven't been able to pull off the chat with clothes on strategy on the site and I try to speak intelligently so maybe it's my look. Lol keyword *try*. Maybe I need to tweak a few things..
