Default Is It Necessary To Be Blonde Or Redhead To Be An Exotic Dancer?

I have short, dark (almost black) hair & am thinking of going back into dancing again.

The last time I danced was about 9 years ago, but I had blonde highlights in my hair then. But I don't care about ever bleaching my hair again (UGGH!). I prefer to keep my hair a dark brunette.

Are there dancers that have short, dark hair these days? Can I keep my hair dark when I go back into it again? Thanks...XOXO.

Guys like all kinds. I danced as a brunette with long curly hair and I might have made more as a blonde but maybe not. I have a dark complexion so dark brown worked better for me. I'm sure it prevented some customers like the younger ones, but I got the older, wealthier customers and I'd rather have wealthier customers any day.

It depends on what the brunette goes with. I had long black hair and did the whole goth thing and I did well. I looked mean with black hair and tended to appeal to a lot of so called "fetish customers". Now as a blonde I get told I look "softer". Customers stare at my tits more and don't try to engage me in "intellectual conversation".

If you're doing the goth look blonde hair might help you. But if you're just going for "girl next door" I don't think it will help or hinder you.

I was a brunette for 5 of the 6ish years I stripped and I did pretty well. Didn't much of a change when I went blonde.

My ex best friend is Hispanic and has long curly black hair and she makes good money too. She'd do a lot better if she wasn't such a bitch though.

A lot depends on your persona. I went for slightly nerdy girl next door and my glasses and brown hair worked with that.

Ex best friend went for Hispanic seductress with a bitchy side and that worked for her.

If I tried that with brown hair and glasses it wouldn't work.

    Does that make sense?

Your hair colour isn't going to make or break your money. A good hustler can appeal to any customer, regardless of their hair colour preferences!

They'll probably give you more crap about the length as opposed to the color.

There is a picture post thread about strippers with short hair, or maybe it's in body business. You could look at it to amp you up.

    How short is your hair?

Addison is right. The length is more relevant than the colour. I've danced with blonde, brown, black, red and even pink hair. None of these colours significantly impacted my earnings.

    ^This .

Is your hair long enough for clip in extensions (this could be the way to go if it is)? Also, you could always try a wig if you don't feel confident with your natural hair and see how it works out for you.

    Me!

(My hair looks way more red in this pic then it is IRL/in the darkness of the club)

I make good $ (for dayshift) and both guys & girls seem to really like my short hair actually. Guys often say it suits the shape of my face. So, I guess it depends on whatever suits you personally.

I girl at my club has a brunette bob. She's at least in her thirties, and fairly average sized, but she carries herself so classy, and is such a good hustler she'll make 1500 on a tuesday, no extras, just sitting in champagne room drinking wine with a custie.
Seriously, it's about how you carry yourself.

I will add though being the only blonde in a room full of brunettes does help. The other brunettes at my work are very attractive but customers usually don't specify someone's name and there is mass confusion when they ask for the "brunette with tattoos, I forgot her name" With me there is no confusion.

My natural colour is blonde but I go a deep auburn red every once in a while for smtg different. I've done alright with both, but since I play up my Polish heritage at work I find the red often works to my advantage, w/ my dark eyes, b/C of the stereotype of Eastern European girls all being blue eyed blondes. Also I was usually the only readhead in my club, which along w/ being 'foreign' made me stand out.

I think it depends on the club and what type of 'image' you want to go for.
I work at a club with mostly alternative girls who have shaved heads, red, pink, and blue hair styles. My pink hair is actually what got me hired at my club (It's called Pinky's, lol) and I've also made more money with a mohawk than a regular hair style.
