Mine was during a dive vacation in Bonnaire two years back. I found the reefs kind similar everywhere on the island, but all the shore entries were nice. Plus, you can't beat island culture. Stayed at the resort with the crappy casino, if you've been there.

"Drugged" sharks? Also, I'm a big fan of night dives, so my next trip will be a place known for that.

Zeagle Stiletto BC best for large chests
    Oceanic Delta line for regs
    ScubaPro twin jets
Mares integrated dive computer for switching between rec/tec/nitrox/mix

Back side of Cocos island at seawip junction. Sharks always freak me out on night dives, when the light hits them just right their eyes glow red.

There are a few famous 'Blue Holes' around the world what one are you talking about? If I can ask.

Everyone adores warm-water destinations--me, too--but I do have my dry suit certification and it bugs me I've only done about 10 cold-water dives. None of these have been in especially remarkable locations, either. A few in Lake Michigan off Milwaukee and a few in Illinois in a quarry. Now Nova Scotia or somewhere similar? Now you're talking: Big octopus, orca, etc.

Anybody here dive somewhere cold and exotic? How was it?

Bocas Del Torro, Panama! I recently got my open water there. I'm a huge fan!

It's been a while since I've done it, but the last good dive I had was at Saba, a small island in the Caribbean. Fantastic. Dormany volcanic island with around 1000 people living on it. Utterly remote. The airport has the shortest commercial runway in the world, and is pretty perilous. There is a cloud-covered mountaintop to boot. Saw a 9-10 foot blacktip about 80 feet down, checking us out. The sandy bottom is warm to the touch (from the magma deep down below). Simply incredible.

That looks like a dream! I admire you guys. I'm scared to death to go scuba diving. I've seen so many movies where the tanks fail and the friend/lover/business partner tries to kill you. Screw that! I'll stick to aquariums, thank you. lolololol

Obviously, this happens much more often on dry land. In my case, for instance, EVERY lover has tried to kill me. But I'm surprisingly wiry and fast for my age. And so I've survived all the attempts.

Update: Going diving tomorrow locally. In a lake. Won't be awesome, but it will be something. Hope I don't get too fuckin' cold. (Only going to wear a 3/5, hood and gloves.)
