    Default Wishlist scam?

This happened to me about a year ago. At the time I didn't know places such as SW existed, so i didn't have anyone to talk to about it. Now that I'm here, i thought I'd ask.

Has anyone ever bought something from your wish list, and then cancelled their order?

I was on cam one day when someone came in and asked me to play a song, since my profile says I can play guitar. I told him i couldn't, as my guitar was stolen. One of my regulars said that I should add a guitar to my Wishlist, so i did, and posted it in the room to show the guys what model i was thinking of. The original guy who came in asking for me to play a song says "ok, go check your wishist". i did, and the guitar was gone. Obviously i began to cry like a little girl out of happiness. I didn't do him any favors or show him anything. I was too emotional lol.

So after a few weeks, no guitar comes. Since the original guy was a guest, I had no way to track him down. After a month i gave up hope and moved on.

Then, about a month ago, some guest shows up in my room, mocking me for being "such a dumb whore" for thinking he'd buy my a $300 guitar. I banned him, of course.

Now, as someone who frequently buys from Amazon, I know they generally don't charge your card until the item ships, so I imagine it's quite easy for a guy to try and run this scam. I refuse to do shows for wish list items for this reason.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Hmm... That's never happened to me, although I never had a wishlist until last week Um, I am kind of wondering if some guy tried to scam me in the same way, though. He recently bought two very expensive items for me and while they still say that someone purchased them for me, I am skeptical as to whether or not I'll actually receive them. This kind of thing is normal, though, from what I hear. That's why they say to never do a show for a wishlist item until you've got the item in hand. They should also add: don't get your hopes up, some guys are devious

hey - I know you! I've seen you around MGF. you're really pretty!

And yeah, Iäm really, really glad I didn't do anything for him. I just didn't imagine someone would be willing to risk so much money on a scam. I mena, what if the site HAD charged him right away?

Aww thank you! I have a feeling I know who you are on MGF as well. Do you have reddish hair? What other sites do you work on? I'm still on the quest to find the "perfect" site but right now I'm on xpeeps, sm, mgf, c4s, and a non-adult site.

As far as the wishlist thing goes, I'm wondering how long it takes Amazon to ship the item? And if it's been a few days since the customer purchased it and it is still showing the item has been purchased for you, does that mean everything's been processed and you really will be getting the order? Lol I'm such a newb. I wish they would give you a confirmation or something. I guess that would ruin the surprise but darn it, I don't like surprises!

Yes! red hair, big eyes, paler than a ghost. I use MGF, MFC, and SM. I made a Chaturbate account that just got verified, an i'm waiting for my XP account to be verified. I like MGF best.

i think if it's been a few days and it still shows as purchased, you should be fine. I'd give it a month.

A guy did this to me on MFC my second day there. He said he really liked spoiling new girls and making them smile. I was a little hesitant and asked if he would just fill in a random amount with a gift card. He said he really wanted to see what cute items I could pick out. Oooookay buddy... sure.... So I filled up my wishlist and he spent about $350. He went on and on about how I deserved it and it made him feel so good to know he's the one to make me smile. After a few weeks of nothing in my PO box, I asked amazon support what was up. They said that without a credit card number or confirmation number, they couldn't actually confirm whether or not something was purchased, vs if something was *marked* as purchased. The rep said it's not uncommon for someone to mark something as purchased, and then not complete the transaction. 4 months later, still no items from that guy. There are a lot of men out there that get off on spoiling a woman... or rather, pretending to spoil a woman.

I've never had that happen but guys do it all the time especially on the femdom side. That's why so many girls stress not to use presents as a form of payment. There's a couple of threads about amazon wishlist scams/scammers but I don't feel like searching lol. I think they scam as a game and get off to the fact that they just played with you head and hopes.

Awhile back I had a guy on MFC, whom I'd never chatted with before, tell me he'd just bought a necklace off my wishlist. I checked my wishlist and sure enough the item showed up as purchased. I thanked him, and he asked if he could have some Skype time. I told him I wasn't logging off MFC right that moment to do Skype, and he went on his way. He never came back, and my necklace never showed up. I did check with Amazon and the item wasn't paid for. He was angling to get a free Skype show and I never would have received the necklace. Slimy! Never do anything reciprocal for a wishlist gift until you have the gift IN YOUR HANDS.

I kept my wishlist up for awhile, received some things off it, but now I just accept giftcards. If the guy wants me to get something specific with the card then I get what he wants to get me (and it's usually something I've mentioned wanting in my chatroom) but I've also used the giftcards to buy things from Amazon like toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, Mac 'n Cheese, etc. that would otherwise go on my grocery bill.
