Default NYC: more posing, less dancing....

    HI,

I have a girlfriend who's moving to NYC from Vegas this fall. Unfortunately this past year she got into a car accident and now her right arm dislocates at the shoulder (meaning no pole tricks anymore) and she's so tight that she can't do splits yet. She used to be a pole star but her stage skills have gone from like a 9 to a 2. She still has moves but is afraid that she'll look amateur no matter what in NYC.

What are the clubs in NYC that are more like sexy posing on stage? Or can you generally do that most places? I work at a place where if you can't do pole tricks customers actually might say something to you. Basically she has to take it mighty easy on stage while she's recouping....even with floor work!

Thanks for any input as I can't help her out (in upstate)!

Oh, she can do super basic spins, but nothing with ooomph. And as far as going lefty, she'll get brain damage before she's any good at it. She's trying to build up a grip and strength but doing anything terrifies her. She's in great shape otherwise...like doesn't look like she's been in a hospital bed or anything, she still hits the gym and is super toned and tiny.

It seems like most clubs in the city don't require you to dance at all. It's a bonus, but it doesn't seem to make you a lot of extra money. I know that at Scores there isn't a pole, just a long catwalk-like stage. Rick's has a few stages, and only one has a pole but there isn't any polework. Lace and NY Dolls have poles but it's mixed, some girls do tricks and dance but most do some mild dancing and spins.
