    Default Space-Saving Effective Exercise Equipment

So my current place is really small and I'm looking for some effective exercise equipment that can easily be folded away or put away under a bed or on a shelf. It also needs to be quiet because I have neighbors underneath. I may also get a gym membership, but I often only like to work out in the middle of the night when I can't sleep, so its kind of pointless.

I need stuff that will help tone upper arms, stomach, ass, and upper legs especially. Right now all I have is: a yoga mat, workout DVDs, and two 5lb free weights.

I'm thinking about getting a pole (X-pole), resistance bands that attach to door knobs (), and something like this folding stair stepper ().

Do you think these items will be effective together? I know the pole will be at least. Do not not recommend any of these? Do you recommend anything else instead? Thanks

The pole will certainly help you workout all your muscles (especially your upper body) while providing you with cardio exercise. The stepper is great for your lower body. You can get Pilates bands, since they are more practical than the ones you attach to a doorknob; I'd get those instead.

Getting a pull up bar for my bf... they fit right in the door way! (great if you need to work on your upper body). With a pole you just have to remember you need space around it too. I'm getting one for my small studio and I hope it fits. Maybe you can get your cardio by jogging though instead of a machine?
