Default a few questions for the pros

    Hello lovelies,

First of all thank you so much for being such amazing wonderful people! I have learned so much from you all! Anyways, Im just starting out and i have a few questions:

    1. When doing floor work, my knees are KILLING me. Does this simply go away with time or are there tricks of the trade to help with the pain and bruising?

    2. I talked to a dancer at a club that i want to audition at the other day. She told me to lie and say that I have at least a year of experience (and to reference a club out of the state - that they won't check). Is this a good idea? She said that sometimes the managers just aren't in the mood to deal with new girls. The club is Oasis - Atlanta, GA.

    3. HOW DO YOU LADIES KEEP WIGS ON WHEN DOING POLE TRICKS???? Ive been trying to keep the tricks to a minimum, but even things like hair flips/head rolls can cause the wig to get all shifty. HELP! Its my worst fear that I will be on stage and the wig will go flying into a custies lap.

    4. Ive watched a few videos on lap dancing - but I'm nervous that when the time actually comes, Im going to look like an idiot. Can someone give me a few key moves to start out with? I feel like I'm going to make a total fool out of myself.

Thanks so much! In a few days, I will officially be a baby stripper and I just want to be ready! (meow) -nervous- but sooo -excited- xoxo

    1. Your knees will get used to it. It's still good to be easy on them or wear something that covers your knees (stockings or high socks) just for the padding though.

    2. If you've never danced before and say you've worked for a year, they'll notice. All new girls look the same their first time on stage, so they'll catch you in your lie as soon as you do your audition. I don't think being a newbie is a huge deal as long as you're not incredibly awkward or terrified on stage.

    4. It's really very simple and you don't need any fancy moves, I promise. I'd recommend buying a lap dance as a customer so you can see just how little you really have to do and get a better idea of contact rules. But basically, just make lots of eye contact, run your hands all over your body, bend over, get your boobs all up in their face, cuddle, etc., etc. It's less dancing and more just moving slowly and sensually.

    Good luck!

^This. Also, taking either vitamin K or a Rutin and bioflavonoids tablet might help you to not bruise as easily (I bruise easily in general and this works for me, but everyone's different). Putting vinegar on bruises, when at home, can lighten them as well (try apple cider vinegar, so you don't smell too much like a salad lol).

    2. I agree that there's no need to lie about your experience level-if you do, it will be very obvious that you haven't danced for a year. Most clubs are always hiring and looking for fresh faces. Just be confident and well groomed, move slowly on stage and you will be fine.

    3. Pole tricks aren't necessary to make money, so I wouldn't worry about that. I can't offer any personal experience about wearing wigs, but, I have danced with girls who do and many just don't go upside down (stick to spins etc). Or, try clip in hair extensions instead of a wig, if possible.

    4. It's great that you've done your research, at least you have a general idea. But, remember men are men-if a woman is naked in front of them (or better yet-on their lap) then most will be happy, regardless of how she is moving. Watch the other girls at your club and you'll soon get the idea/pick it up.

    1. You're always going to have bruises on your knees. It's a sad fact. But once you start dancing more, your knees will hurt less. IF I take a break and go back, my knees are BLACK (and I'm really pale, so it stands out). After a week or two, they get back to normal. Make sure you're taking vitamins, it helps the body repair faster.
    2. I always did this when I was new. Especially clubs that want pole tricks, I say I worked at a club without a pole/ peepshow, and I would say I have more experience anyways, because I don't want creepy managers trying to fuck me over/ attempt to take advantage of me, and because I never wanted girls (especially at rougher clubs), thinking they could boss me around.
    3. Can't help you here, though I know girls who do it.
    4. My lap dances are basic; eye contact, coy smiling, giggles, touching my self all over, moving my hips around, touching the custie's chest or arms, and then turning around and bending over and letting them see my ass. I don't grind at all; it's not necessary (even in high contact places like sf), because I can tell if a guy is a handsy ass who just wants to get off, or a good customer. The former I just finish with an air dance, walk away and ignore them after they've complained, and the good custies, I try to give an amazing dance as possible, try to get more, and if not walk them back to their seat, because some times they'll get more dances later or tip me a lot on stage. Please don't grind during table dances at least! I hate having a guy point over to the next girl over and be like "why aren't you dancing like her?" Uh, cuz you're giving me 20 dollars dipshit. If you're going to grind at least do it in VIP/ CR, where the other guys can't see as well.

    1) I second the apple cider vinegar suggestion, since I would get bruises on my inner arms from the pole & feel like I looked like a junkie. My knees were bad from before I started dancing (sports injuries) so I took to wearing tall boots w/ a couple layers of tall athletic socks underneath. Cuts the bruising back immensely, not to mention the pain, & can also help grip the pole. Glucosamine & chondroitin I take every day like a dose of religion, even tho I retired recently, & a little extra iron every day esp during your period can also help your body flush away the bruises a little quicker. Also when you're getting down on the floor, watch how you do it so you put as little strain on your knees as possible. Lean on the pole, try downward dog or whatever position, play w/ this a bit.

    2) Don't bs that you've done it before if you haven't. IME the audition was little more than a formality so the managers could be assured you won't freeze up on stage or be so awkward you end up in a crumpled, knotted heap on the floor.

    3) The only person(honestly don't know if it was male or female) I've seen wear a wig onstage didn't do a lot of pole tricks. Mostly I've just seen girls go w/ hair extensions.

    4) I also kept lap dances pretty basic, but I wasn't above asking in a cutesy way for feedback from a guy I was dancing for. Tread lightly here tho, as sm guys might take this as an invitation to smtg sketchier.
