Question Cam income and council house UK?

Me and boyfriend are in a private let right now but because it is furnished and we can't paint the walls or even hang something on the walls it just doesn't feel like home.

Now we want to see what our options are for getting a council house, the amount of income is not a problem.. however
all we have is our camming / affiliate income. I do the camming he does the adult affiliate stuff.

But we get paid on my bankaccounts, I have 3 bankaccounts and get the money spread on all 3 accounts since Dutch companies refuse to pay me on UK bankaccounts and UK atm machines enjoy blocking my bankcards spreading it was the safest option.

Now I have to show proof of income but will they be suspicious if I show them income on 3 different bank accounts and payments that say "Adult blah blah payment period"
    "Streamate limited" etc?

They will ask my profession, I could say I do webdesign for adult companies or do online marketing for them but I'm not sure what they'll think of it.

Any girls in the UK who have a council house and showed their camming income or have experience with showing chunks of income all over the place?
This would be our first council house too so I don't really know what their requirements are and the office itself just says come on over but I obviously want to prepare..

I'm not familiar with council house shiznik, so I'm afraid I can't help you with that, but having gone through an estate agent (Fox & Sons), who are extremely discerning when it comes to stupidly long and in-depth investigations and shit (to the point where my landlord himself got furious with them!), all of it went fine. I said I worked in online sales - the word "adult" isn't even on my radar as a possibility for mentioning unless absolutely necessary. I even had to give them my friggin' company name at one point (Streamate) and she even asked me to spell it out for her (kinky bitch, lol!), and it still all went fine. No questions about the nature of work I do aside from "online sales". Bank statements shown all with payments from Streamates - all went fine, no questions asked.

If I were in your situation, I would treat it exactly the same as mine: play it all by ear, and go into it acting like there is no problem unless they actually ask, because they might not even care about your three banks accounts etc. And then if they do ask, just try to be as honest as possible without giving away too much information. Best of luck!

Not to sound negative the waiting list for a council property is sky high. I've been looking into part buy part rent properties from my local council/housing association.

I would stick with private. Find another landlord or estate agent to rent from.

Buying is not an option financially because I do not have a stable income.

Private landlords.. I am sick of them.
Like the flat we are in now, it's not a bad flat but the boiler has an attitude and even after emailen / writing the letting agency they don't give a damn that we will be cold all winter.

Also the furniture is hideous, the walls are pukegreen and ugh.
Same for all 12 letting agencies I contacted, they won't let you paint or hang things on the wall, change the carpet (even if it is a bright yellow pink carpet with dinosaures on it in the livingroom).

So a council should be the way for us so we can finally feel at home.
The office I contacted said it shouldn't take too long since we are only interested in the higher priced lettings.
(House with a minimum of 2 bedrooms and yard).

So I guess it's worth giving a try to get a council, after all you miss all the shots you don't take.

I just hope they won't give me trouble with my 3 bankaccounts and chunks of income everywhere.

Would it be possible just to print income stats and showing my bank account credit maybe?

I don't live in council housing, but I just got accepted for a tenancy on a new private rental if that's any help? I showed proof of income just by getting my accountant to send a letter stating my yearly amount and that i do what i say i do, no further questions asked and no need for bank statements

Assuming you have an accountant you could do the same thing?

Be careful if you have to tell them what you do because while most might not look favourably on camming, the real problem is that you will be obviously running that business from home and most tenancies don't allow that because of insurance/ business rates being payable etc. If I were you I'd say you work from home as a contractor for different online companies, which is why you get different bits of income into different banks x

Why don't you use a room divider like this one instead of paiting the walls ?

Thats awful, what a douche landlord you have and all in one area. I know what you mean about them not getting a flying sh*t I had the same problem but then i moved so its no longer problem for me. If the waiting times in your area are that short I say go for it. Don't have any spare one bedroom/studios going in that area do they?

As for the council wanting to know accounts/proof of income info i didn't think they would be as nosy as estate agents/landlords. Just so long as they get their rent I don't think they do the whole background check on you. Best to ask them in person or see their website for more info.
