There's a few stores in Newark for dancers. One is called Sassy Assy at 120 Wilson Ave. Literally across the street from there is another store called Rio Republic that also sells stripper stuff. Then on the side of the street that Rio Republic's on, there's another tiny store like two blocks down that sells shoes. Sassy Assy has good shoes and you can see them on their site www.sassyassyjeans.com Other than those stores and outfit ladies, basically every one shops at a store on Jamaica Ave in Queens (idk where it is though) and another store on Fordham in the BX but once again, idk the exact address.

Jersey Girls and Palace used to have outfit ladies on certain nights. Idk if they still go there though.

I was very underwhelmed by what I saw in Queens. The stores are st the Parsons Blvd & Jamaica Ave intersection. There is one called Hollywood Fashions I think. That one is a few stores past the Wendys at the intersection. The other store I noticed was on Jamaica, on the same block as McDonalds.

I've seen stores with a better selection of clothes in small Towns in the south! Just better off going to the village. But the outfits cost more.

^^^^Yeah! I loved going to places like L'impasse on St Marks or the shops all the way over near 2nd ave. Really interesting, eclectic stuff. Trash and Vaudeville has great quality at reasonable prices. I like their darker stuff like bikinis with hardware like studs on 'em. There were two shops across the street from T&V that have more dancer/drag gear. Get some for me!!!!

I agree, Jamaica Ave has squat as far as outfits go, however, they have lots of bad ass shoes. Good thing about there is, those stores have free lay-away....which can be very helpful for a new dancer, especially if you're interested in boots $$$ (OP, Get a slice at Margarit's if you do venture up to Queens, THE BEST DAMN PIZZA!!!)

Omg, I've been trying to find where those stores are for 2 years. Thank you, now it's time to go buy some shoes

Really! I didn't know that! It was Rosh Hashana (sp?) when I went, so most of the stores were closed. Next time I will go back if only for the shoes. The beauty supply stores looked very promising, I was going back to look closer anyway. Next time I will get names and exact streets if I see any other stores.

AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I forgot all about Trash & Vaudville. Thanks for reminding me. I went once but the wet blanket I was with ruined my shopping mood. I didn't think to check them out for dance stuff. Especially with all the spikes dancers are wearing now.

L'Impasse is so sexy......but $$$$$$$$$$$$. I always wondered who was wearing the outfits/gowns in there. I was brave enough to, but I had no idea where I would wear a dress that was split down the front to the waist, backless and with a crotch high slit.

I'm so addicted to L'Impasse that I make a beeline there every time I get home. I'm seriously thinking of doing some costumes on that theme. I saw the gowns that Camille Flawless does in Vegas and I think it would be so sick to show up in an audition decked out like that!

I live in Newark and I have yet to visit Sassy Assy, they told me at Exxxotica NJ that they make clothes as well, like to your measurements. I just haven't found the storefront yet.

I googled her work. So Vegas and flashy. I love it!
